Good quality californian food in a nice atmosphere. We ordered the gnocci, which was original and tasty. However, there was such a snall quantity that I actually though the narrow bowl the pasta was presented in was only the sauce rather than the complete platter.

I had a scrumptious dinner at Soluna a few weeks ago, and have been guilt-ridden to delay writing my review for such a long time. In an area of the city with somewhat spare dining options, Soluna is a star well worth trying.

Scrumptious breakfast, and surprisingly healthy. Mama's is very popular, so get there early to avoid the endless lines. Shockingly, I've seen lines wrap out the front door even during the middle of the week.

Definitely a solid restaurant. Inventive, tangy small plates dominate the menu. Great drinks, and a lively bar scene. It's quite loud and once you order the house drinks, the bill can get pretty steep before you know what hit you.

Very interesting spot -- reasonable food, and low low prices! There is a very funky atmosphere, with asian pop stars crooning on the television and laser-lights for illumination. It's weird, it's cheap, and it's open until midnight. If that's your thing, check it out!

I tried the octopus salad and the special ahi poke. Both were great -- I was impressed with the preparation of the octopus, which can turn out chewey if one is not careful. The lamb chops are juicy yet crispy, with caramelized pears on top. Very tasty. The bathroom is an experience not to be missed.

Very nice environment and concept, but I didn't find the preparation impressive or creative. Lots 'o butter or cream. It's possible I just prefer the seared ahi dishes the local japanese restaurants offer, but I bet you can do better if fresh fish is what you're after in SF.
