I've only ordered pies from the West Portal restaurant. The delivery service is prompt, they accept CCs, and their sausage and onion pizza is the best I've had in the City.

I love this place. The chicken enchiladas and empalmadas are great. The wait can be long, but Joxer Daly's, an Irish pub next door, is a great place to have a drink and wait.

The wait is long, but the breakfast dishes are great. I plan on returning and trying as many specials as I can. Bringing a paper to read in line makes the wait fly by.

This Portola Heights neighborhood joint has never let me down (over 10 trips and counting). The burgers (made with beef from Niman Ranch), the salads (surprisingly large), and the fish and chips (accompanied by the best cole slaw I've ever had) will satisfy most people. On my last trip I had a turkey cheese(jack)burger. It was great, and a side of fries--also delicious. It's not expensive (2 ppl. about $15-20--perfect for a casual meal), and you don't have to wait long for your food.

Park Chow is a great choice for most occasions. I and 2 of my friends were seated without having to wait, even though it was 12ish on a Saturday. I ordered a scramble (excellent, especially for making impromptu sandwiches with the toast that accompanies the breakfast) and a coffee (it comes from a particular farmer in Latin America. I forgot where but the waiters will know), which was delicious. Sitting upstairs made the meal all that much better and the service was prompt and friendly.

This place is great. I love their Monte Cristo sandwich--it's simply divine. They also know how to make the perfect omelet--it doesn't matter what kind you order--and their blueberry coffee cake accompanies the house coffee perfectly. Moreover, the service is ultra-friendly. Mama's isn't a large restaurant and it fills up quickly. I recommend going during the week or very early on the weekends to avoid the crowds. However, if you find yourself in a line, buy a paper and read while you wait.

They need heaters to make it more comfortable to sit outside--it was a bit chilly when I went. The service was friendly and efficient, but the food wasn't great. I ordered corned beef hash, a brunch special, and coffee. I love cb hash but their dish was just OK. Also, the coffee wasn't very good, i.e. weak, and, because of the shallow, wide-lipped cups, it cooled down very quickly; no one likes to drink cold, formerly hot, coffee. Only positive was the mashed potatoes. I will try it once more.
