We went to go to The House in North Beach for dinner, and of course, it was going to be more than an hour wait. I was bummed. So, we humbly walked over to Estia a few doors down which seemed somewhat inviting. We were greeted by a very friendly wait staff, which included the owner of the restaurant (who ended up taking our order). I asked him whether there was anything on the menu for my 2 year old son. He asked whether my son liked pasta and whether he preferred red or white sauce. After I indicated a white fettucine, the owner said, "I'll cook him something special myself." Sure enough, 10 minutes later was a large bowl of fettucine alfredo in front of my gawking kid. By the way, his dish was ON THE HOUSE for absolutely no reason. Our food was fanatastic and the service was superb. Nice ambiance too! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant which frequently gets overshadowed by The House. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Food was decent, but the decor was great, especially the outside seating. the restaurant is right off the embarcadero, but still tucked in a nice quiet corner.

I love this place, and although the food can be a tad bit greasy, this is what true Indian dining is. Being an Indian, you totally appreciate the "hole in the wall" atmosphere and greasy food. That's how it is in India!

I've been here a couple of times and have yet to be disappointed. 4 can easily fill themselves silly with an appetizer, beer and entree for about $50 (not bad!). I recommend the BBQ Pork noodles with Vege Roll.

This place is a great Thai place which is off the beaten path in West Portal. All by itself on Claremont Blvd (@ Ulloa), this restaurant serves delicious Pad Thai. The service is great and very friendly. Parking is relatively easy also! Check it out!
