I've been here three times, once for cocktails and twice for food. While the place is certainly pricey, I've never been disappointed by the quality. Damn, the food is good. cocktails are good too, but overpriced.
The first night I stumbled in there starving after hitting some nearby bars, I tried the burger. Wow. Really. It was incredible. I wouldn't usually pay that much for a burger, but once in a while it really is worth it. I went home full and happy.
The next time I went in, I was pretty sure I wanted one of those burgers again, but the place was pretty full so they sat us at the bar right near the grill. That's when I first laid eyes on the pork chops. Best. Pork chop. Ever. It was juicy, cooked just right - the thing seriously melted in my mouth. Ever since then I've been looking for an opportunity to go back and have another. If you're looking for a nice night out, I would definitely give this place a try.

I've got to say, I have a tendency to get a little addicted to this place. It doesn't help that it's so close to my apartment...
While I have a number of friends who prefer Little Star deep dish, I think Patxi's has the better flavor. Ordering their whole wheat crust is a must. My favorite pizza combo is their Veggie pizza (onions, green peppers, black olives and mushrooms). You can't really go wrong with their deep dish, though - I've never gotten a bad combination yet. They also started offering slices during lunchtime last year, and they recently starting delivering. This is why they rock.
The pizza is a little pricey, but it's dense; you'll be remarkably full after two slices. Also, I'm really only recommending their deep dish pizzas (and I usually skip the salad, so I can't comment on that). Their thin crust pizzas are fine but nothing special - I'm sure you can find better.

Perhaps I'm a little biased. This place was talked up A LOT by my friend before I tried it out. The atmosphere was good, and the staff were friendly, but the food was not all I'd hoped. Then again, I'm pretty picky about my soul food.
I had shrimp and grits - tasty enough, but not very exciting either. The pulled pork my friend had raved so much about seemed a little flavorless to me. I was with a few other people who ordered fish (can't remember which kind), the fried chicken, and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was bland, as was the coleslaw. I think the fried chicken was the best of what we ordered as a group. We didn't try the dessert.
Overall, I'd say it's charming enough to try. The place really is cute, and the cocktails are made right. If you're looking for the best soul food in the city, though, this isn't it.

This is probably the best place to get decent food right on pier 39, which is notable, since most of food there is pretty poor. They have a pretty standard seafood menu, as well as some meat, salad, and pasta entrees. Everything we've ordered has been pretty tasty. This is a reliable place to take visiting friends and family in Fisherman's Wharf at a reasonable price.

This is without a doubt the best restaurant in the neighborhood. They have great, great beer, and they have a small bar area if that's all you're looking for. The food has always been top notch, the portions large and hearty. I'm in love with the spatzle and the sauteed venison medallions in red wine sauce. Mmmmm....so good.

Il Borgio has a warm, quaint feeling to it that makes dining there a real treat. The service is very friendly and inviting, so it feels very homey. The food is pretty good as well, but it's the atmosphere that makes it unique.

I've eaten here twice, and both times my meals have been spectacular. The dishes are innovative and hearty - you won't walk away hungry. Probably the biggest draw is the creative desserts. Try the combination dessert platter your first time there - all of them are delicious, and you'll probably be craving them for days afterward. The only drawback of Sauce are the prices - it's definitely a special occassion type of place.

It's a cool place to hang out, with a cozy indoor area and back patio. It's more about the ambience than the food, though. The crepes and sandwiches I've had here have been pretty bland. The fries are okay, but it's the dipping sauces that make them tasty. It's a good place to hang out, drink some coffee/beer with a few friends or a casual date.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The ambience is very festive, and the service has always been friendly. It's a great place to go with a group of people and eat family style. Great sangria. My favorite dishes are the fried plantains, ceviche, and cajun shrimp, but I have not been disappointed with anything I've ordered yet.
