We just had their sag paneer tonight, with naan, and rice. Their rice is excellent! Fast delivery. Tasty food.

Brainwash is a very hip, low-key kind of place. Their food is great, and they have very generous portions. They have a lot of beers on tap, and can do fancy coffee drinks as well. Free wi-fi, and they often have poetry readings or concerts.

The food was great. I liked the atmosphere- great iron chandeliers, walls that were warm and inviting, and the mirrors really opened the place up. Go during happy hour for 2 for 1 drinks. Their mojitos were GREAT! Lots of fresh mint in the glasses.

I go here about twice a month with friends. The $5.99 cheese omlette is good, and you get two cheeses standard! The potatoes are kind of bland and skimpy portions of them. But you get a bagel too. Their iced coffee is good, and they give free refills on their coffees. Nice staff.

Their food is ok. Lots of different choices, but just ok on the tasty-meter. The decibel/chaos in the restarant can be a bit overwhelming, and can make hanging out with friends or a date difficult.

The food here is great, as is the ambiance. Creative dishes but pricey. Good place to go if cost is no object or your business is picking up the tab.

You can go to restauant.com and get a certificate for this place, which makes the Fantasy Room much more affordable. If you get the whole fantasty room meal, you won't leave hungry. The service *was* maddeningly slow, but they want you to slow down and enjoy your food. Sitting across from my beloved in the fantasy room by ourselves made the wait times worth it. :)

Sparky's is pretty good. Lots of diner options, and the fact that they are 24 hours is really cool. $1 beers during happy hour ~ what is not to like? The prices are a bit high, and none of the food is overly tasty- but it is satisfying and filling. Plus, you can always stop one door down at "Just Desserts" to finish off your meal.

Tucked away on a forgotten block of Valencia, Pauline's is a real gem. Their pizzas are tasty, and can come with all kinds of gourmet toppings. The ambiance of the place is great, too. Candles at every table. But kid-friendly, too, with crayons to draw on the tablecloth with. (In fact, kids of all ages can enjoy doing that.) Prices are higher than a standard pizza restaurant, but they do "classy" pizza well.

Delicious ice cream in exotic flavors from the tropics. Who can say "no" to avocado ice cream? (Try it first before you say "no". It is amazing!) A huge selection of flavors, so everyone will find 20 flavors they like. The prices are a bit higher than at a regular ice cream place, but it is a great splurge. No place to sit, and there are often very long waits. But worth it on a nice sunny day.

Lee's Delis are the BEST! They have good, reasonably priced sandwiches, and some locations have buffets of all kinds of food, inc. sushi. The staff can be a bit crazed around lunch-time, but they move fast. They have lots of different coffees, inc. many different flavor. I like the mocha flavored the best. Anyway, these places are GREAT.

Their food is great. Very very fresh like the other reviewer pointed out. But, the prices are a bit high esp. compared with all of the local taquerias you could go to instead. They also don't give you chips with your burritos. But, if you are downtown far from any local taqueria, they are a good choice.

Their coffee is pretty good, and location is right near 16th and Mission (for better or worse). The cafe has a good feel - very Latin American coffee house/political hotbed, if you know what I mean. I have never had any of their food. The selection is not very big.

Mr. Pizza Man has good, solid pizza. They also offer free delivery throughout the city. The "Giant Special" is a great deal: an x-large pizza with one topping and a 2 liter of soda for $14 something. Good selection of toppings, too.

Great food. Fun, romantic, cozy atmosphere. Getting out of the door can be expensive ($24 for a bottle of wine, entrees between $12-20). But a fun experience. Plus, if you buy a bottle of Chianti, you can decorate it with markers and crayons and hang it on the ceiling. Fun!

Cancun is my favorite restaurant in the City. The veggie burritos are HUGE, and come with big chunks of avacado in addition to the standards of salsa, rice, beans, cheese, cilantro, onions. Their "guacamole" salsa comes free with your order (inc. chips). Really good. Both salsas are a bit hot, though, in case you have a sensitive tongue.

I LOVE VP&P! The food is unbelievable. The portions are huge. The menu is the biggest I have ever seen. Their "pesto" special pizza is my favorite pizza in the whole city. Good for weekend brunch. A cheese omlette with potatoes, toast, and a piece of fruit is only $3.95. I can't say enough about how much I love VP&P. You won't be disappointed!
