HANDS DOWN THE BEST BBQ SOUL FOOD IN THE BAY YES THE BAY......... Anytime I'm in the area hungry or not I stop at E&J's... I feel bad for all the other food places in Berkeley because I haven't even given them a chance. If you love soul food like I do it's worth a Saturday drive to get some of this true bbq......

There is nothing royal about this place or it's blaaaaa thai food. This one is better then the other location which could do anything right. I do not recommend at all. With tons of thai places opening every day. Give one of them a chance. I guess wisdom does not come with age....HUH...

One of the best experience to date. I had two great women to eat with in a gorgeous space. The food was amazing. We shared the bean appetizer as well as the ribs and then I had the seafood stew entree. Service was great. Best of luck to this new place. If things stay the same they'll stay in the game.

WEAK........ If your in the vicinity of there are so many better places to eat. I was fooled by the location and it's atmosphere. They must have really good pr because the place was packed. The food was just not fresh and in the sushi game freshness is the key to sucess.

The Fast and the Franktorious. I have seen alot of these dog stands opening and this one is my top choice. They have a large variety of dogs and sausages, some very original topping and great garlic fries. For a quick snack downtown this is a great lil spot.

Sorry to have to leave another negative for this place, but they might as well not even be on here. The slices are very FAT but they lack taste and way to much cheese. I guess if your begging for change to eat this would be a superb place to eat, as for me I'll walk up the street and eat at North Beach or Escapr from NY

I love seafood, but it always seems that most places run the amount of it on each dish very short. This not the case at the Seafood peddler. I have never in my life had so much clam in a clam chowder. The food was great and the service was oustanding.

I do not recommend this place to anyone who is interested in the actual food. If you like amazing design and and great historic photographs this is your place. The seafood was not fresh, the sauces were not complimentary to the dishs. The best thing I had was my shot of Jamison. For a place that charges 12 dollars for chrappacio it could at least have been decent. Sorry to blow it for you guys who were excited to eat here , but I would wait for a month so that they can get things dialed in.

What a pleasant surprise this was. I stopped by on a fluke and was completely overwhelmed with superb taste of these dishes. I can't recall the names due to the fact 10 of us ate off 15 dishes. The service was soso, but who cares when the food is sooooooo delicious. Oh and don't go with 10 people because the place is a bit cramped.

So I have done home on union a few times and I decided to try the one on Market. No change in the formula. Great service great atmosphere and the food, the food, the food........ I over ate 3 fold... Started with mac & cheese, green beans, corn bread and potstickers all of which were outstanding.... I would starve a small village for the cornbread..(j/k)(maybe).... After all of that I wasn't really hungry anymore... But I already ordered so what did I do? You guessed it! I ate it all.............Ummmmm I love food especially good food....
