Great for groups or birthday party...the sangria is absolutely delicious and guaranteed to give you a hangover. Longer wait time on the weekends for a table but overall great food and fun...

Went here for lunch today while my building fire alarm was being tested and I couldn't get my usual sleep until 2pm( I work nights). I had the Blue Burger and it was quite tasty. Although Blue has changed ownership the menu is still the same with all the great comfort foods. They also have daily specials including fish. Today's was Salmon or Halibut (2 of my favorites when I feel like fish...)
If you go here for dinner expect to wait for a table or grab the outside table and if it is cold they will turn on the heater for you. The other option is to make reservations.
The place is not ideal for a large group (more than 6).

Probably one of the best Pizza I have had in the city. Their sauce is like magic. I like my pizza with lots of sauce and they do it right. They have beer pitcher specials for dirt cheap and very dependable delivery service to the area...

Excellent Italian food and great burgers. I usually goes for the burger or spaghetti and veggies with green salad. They are open for breakfast but I never make it in that early.
There is a large dinning room in the back that is sun lit and ideal on a summer afternoon.

Excellent Ingera, wonderful vegetarian dishes but the service is lacking. I always get food to go so that way I don't have to sit and be annoyed. you go expect to wait a while for your food. My absolute favorite dish is the chicken tibs which comes with a salad and some lentils. I highly recommend ordering take out and walking around the upper Divisadero area while waiting for your food.

Always a great place for dinner. I love the back bar and dinning area. I have always been welcomed there even alone and they were always on top of it. The pot roast and the Mac and cheese are my 2 favorite. I also like their butternut squash soup which is very tasty on a cold night. They are also children friendly and I usually go there with my friends who have kids.

This is where I sometimes stop for a quick bite before a movie at the Lumiere . I usually get some type of a veggie with chicken and black bean sauce. The portions are generous and usually come with soup and a cabbage salad which is served prior to your meal. The staff is very friendly and it is never busy. I notice that they get a lot of to-go and delivery orders by the number of people going in and out.
I also noticed that it seems to attract couples. May be it has a lot to do with the room set up where all the tables are for a party of 2.

A dinner with dependable, clean and quick service. It is open 24 hours and they serve breakfast all day and night. It can get busy with the theater or club crowd at times and it is always busy for dinner. If you are in a rush go for the counter service which is almost always empty.

It's a steak house with comfort food a bit on the pricey side with a full bar and an alternate to the cheesecake factory...portions are large and it is never busy or crowded. I was pleased with my meal.

Better than Pasta Pomodor and the service is not bad either. Went here for a quick bite on Saturday night before heading out to a birthday party.
I highly recommend the carrot ginger soup... quite tasty. The pasta noodles weren't cooked well to my taste but overall the service was quick and the staff attentive.
It does get packed for dinner every night and if you go alone take a seat at the counter or by the window to avoid waiting for a table.

I love the food here. I usually get a pasta dish and a side salad or their daily sandwich specials which come with a side salad. They also have large salads with a lot of fixing you can choose. The service can be slow at times and can be very busy in the evening hours. It is a good stop for a quick bite before hitting the bars in the Castro.

The Good: Tasty Catfish Poo boy sandwich, excellent side dishes and well made cocktails.
The Bad: The service was poor and the staff seemed confused. The Location is a bit sketchy.
Expect to wait a very long time to get a table on the weekend and even longer to get your food. I wouldn't recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night.

Very clean and cozy space with lots of fresh fish. I had the fish and chips and it was decent but not the best. The coleslaw on the other had was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The price was moderate.
They do have nightly dinner specials.

Great new cafe at the corner with excellent sandwiches and salad plus sidewalk seating make for a nice afternoon treat.
A friend an I went here recently for a very late lunch and had a nice time. I had the Tuna and soup and my friend was a bit hungry and ordered a Turkey w/ bacon and cheese sandwich chips that were quite tasty. The Service was excellent and I must say quite an attractive crew of both sexes.

Recently went here for a firend's birthday dinner and I have to say the food was quiet tasty. Although it took forever to get our food it was worth the wait. I had the Grilled Fillet Mignon with fries and green beans which was excellent and done just the way I like it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It gets really busy so reservation is recommended otherwise best to go early or late after 9pm.

Had dinner here recently. I had the vegetarian combo with greens, lentil and mixed vegetables and Harar Beer that was tasty. It was very authentic and close to what my grandmother would make.
Another big plus ***It's open until 10:30pm***. It can be very busy on Friday and Saturday so it may best to go during the week.

One of the better Eritrea restaurants in the city. The portions are large, the price is cheap and the service is great. The owners have been in the business in the city for the last 20yrs at different locations including Massawa in the upper haight. I recently went back with a couple of friends who have never had eritrean/ethiopian food and they loved it. We had the Lamb with peppers and tomatoes and it was excellent.
I highly recommend the vegetarian combo or the chicken dish.

I love this place. The back garden/seating is absolutely fab especially on a sunny day after shopping in Hayes Valley. My favorite eats #1. The Prosciutto and Brie on a baguette (very tasty) # 2. Albacore Tuna on a focaccia bread(seasonal) 3. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich.... and any of their sides. The staff seems a to be a bit confused and slow but the food and the garden seating makes up for it.

I have been there several times including recently and each time I had a wonderful experience. Their antipasto platter was enough for 2 to share. Although I am not a wine drinker the wines they recommend were tasty. It does get packed in the front area but the back tables are usually not full. Overall it is a great spot to meet friends for a night out or just a quick after work stop.

"The best cafe in the neighborhood and now they have hard liquor. I love going there in the day time when it is warm in the city. My favorite food the burger with a Pear Cider or just having plane eggs with hash and fruit.
The patio is a big plus and since I am a smoker quite convenient to light up and read a current issue of W or Vanity Fair that I usually pick up from Tower Records next door."

"The best authentic Ethiopian food in San Francisco. I should know because I grew up eating it. The injera is by far the best in the bay area. Their service is okay but the food makes up for it. I recommend the chicken and mushroom dish and the vegetarian combo. It is usually not busy but avoid going there late on Friday and Saturday. It gets really packed and it can take long to get your order since they have to make it as it is ordered."

Olive is a great bar with small plates and excellent specialty cocktails. The area may not be great but the space with wonderful artwork and a loft like room makes up for it. If you are heading to a concert at the Great American Music hall this would be an excellent stop before a show or a great spot for after concert cocktails.
The Mushroom and truffle Oil pizza is the best. They have just revamped their menu and have added some great drinks and food.
