“ I was lured by the prospect of beignets and they were really good. The specials were all yummy looking, but husband went with the prosciutto and it was really great. The potatoes were much better than other spots that feature burned garlic on their spuds. ”

“
Low-key breakfast joint with great food, perfect on a sunny day. Typical breakfast and brunch menu with good coffee. Beignets a novelty treat but could be skipped. This joint is isolated in a semi-industrial part of SF -- a definite part of the charm. ”

“ Consistently the BEST American breakfast and lunch place in town. I eat here as often as my calorie count will permit - whenever I'm feeling like a pancakes, eggs and bacon breakfast or a great burger. They make their own bread. Great pasta specials for lunch. Good coffee. I can always get a seat at the counter. Love it. Perfect. 5 stars.
Be warned, non-locals, this place is *very* out of the way, it's *very* hard to find, and parking is *impossible* - stay away! ;) ”

“ Great place for breakfast- they have the best begninettes on this side of town- you can grab a paper from the convenient store next door while waiting for your turn during peak hours. I highly recommend their eggs which are very delish. ”

“ Yum! I had a delicious sea scramble here with crab and shrimp. They offer a variety of breads, including scones and biscuits. Plus they have grits! I didn't like the grits too much, but I thought it was pretty cool anyway. Service is fast and the ambiance is fun. Great Sunday brunch place. ”

“ My four girlfriend walked in and sat down within minutes. The circle table made it easy for us to catch up on Friday night drama. My buttermilk pancakes were as BIG as the plate and some of the better one's in SF. The biscuits were pretty dry, but my friend's cranberry scone was piping hot with fresh crans. Perfectly complimented with the Blackberry preserves on the table. ”

“ I went at about 10am on a Sunday and had to wait about 20 minutes. It's worth it just for the beignets and coffee. What a great way to start the day! Order a cup of coffee while you wait, you can grab a newspaper next door, relax. The food is very good. I kept seeing these golden biscuits go by and wishing I has ordered biscuits, but I had the cinnamon raisin toast and was not disappointed. It was so good. The coffee was good, too. I think it has chicory in it. Service was excellent. Friendly, efficient, fast. ”

“
Wull, Bless My Grits, I thought I'd died and gone to Breakfast Heaven. This is the place you'd hope to find on a trip deep in the Heartland but rarely do. Immediately order a plate of exquisite, spectacular beignets with coffee while perusing the menu. Then pick some of their fabulous homemade bread slices to go with whatever entree. I picked cinnamon raisin bread, which was as good as my Mama's, along with the delicious pork chop, eggs and grits. Whoever cannot appreciate this place should just stick to Denny's. Others be patient, it's well worth the wait. (Wish I was there now). The Food Is Like Mama Made, Fabulous Meat, Spectacular Homemade Bread....purrfect breakfast. Dream of New Orleans. ”

“ One of my favorite breakfast spots in SF. I loved Just for You Cafe when they were on 18th street(currently the chez maman location) because I would grab a coffee @ Farleys and head over for some poached eggs wtih crab cakes. The new location is even better since it's so much larger with more offerings. The scrambles are all excellent, but this is one of the few spots I know where you can get fresh HOT beignets...mmm, soft pillows of heaven dusted with powdered sugar. Pass on the pancakes(which are good), and get the beignets. Excellent grits, Greg's scramble with chorizo, eggs bennie... The wait can be long on the weekends, but you know you're in for a treat. ”
