“ I had the opportunity to eat dinner here last Friday night and really enjoyed the food for several reasons. First, the proportions were quite generous. Our table, which consisted of two people, ordered Kung Pao chicken, Almond Prawns, and Mongolian Beef. One thing we realized right away was that, though we were quite hungry, there was no way we could make it through all this great food. The seasonings were excellent and I also really like the way the food was presented and served. As a side, some rice was ordered which may have been enough to feed twelve people or so.
The atmosphere was good and it was busy, but not difficult to get a 9 oclock reservation when calling at 815 which is nice as it allowed a certain amount of spontaneity. Best chinese food I have found on Chestnut Street. ”

“ I do like this place, it always tastes fresh and not heavy with oil.
My favorites are the chinese Chicken salad, Chicken Chow Mein and the Walnut Prawns. ( I can't handle Walnut Prawns from most chinese food restaurants because they're dripping with gooey sweet sauce, but Dragon Well manages this dish well) ”

“ chinese restaurant with Caucasian host and waiters....hmm...interesting, but I guess the chef is chinese as the food tastes pretty authentic. All other restaurants were packed on Saturdays, so we ended up eating here. Service is nice. I had the Hong Kong noodle (it's crispy noodle), which was good.

“ This place is pretty standard. It has a small menu, but the service was good. I had Mongolian beef, and I liked it. B-friend had Kung Pow chicken and thought it was too salty. The Pot Stickers looked good, but we did not have them. I don't think I would make a special trip to go here, but I will probably eat here again, as I live close by. ”

“ This place is what I call an americanized version of chinese food. Everything taste great, but if authenticity is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. Dragon Well caters best to its location, the "Marina crowd". ”

“ Because we live in the neighborhood, we have been here more than a few times. Each time we roll our eyes and say next time we will go somewhere else... Glutton for punishment??? No just optimistic local yocals...
The pot stickers are dry and bland. The beef chow fun is all noodles... Where's the beef??? We ordered it for our 2 children (5 and 7) and there was not enough meat for them let alone for the 2 adults... While the food is fresh to be sure, the flavor is bland. Trying to be too healthy??? Food is mediocre. Wish I could say better since I am local...

“ Awesome food, go here for sure! Great for dine-in or take-out. LOVE the Walnut Prawns but nearly everything is great. Our standards are Walnut Prawns, Chix Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef, Garlic Eggplant. Service is always great and friendly. That said, you may want to avoid the salads...don't think it's their strong area. ”

“ The food is reasonably tasty, but I found it overpriced, and the portions are small. Similar quality for much less at other chinese restaurants. ”
