I always make a point to eat at YaYa's when I get to San Francisco. They treat us like royalty. The fish is outstanding. Make sure to eat the cheeks. Review #16423

Awesome find! Kind of a whack location, but the food is YumYum. Very cute atmosphere inside with pretty murals on the walls. I have eaten here twice and both times the food was great. The beef biriani and lamb tikka were melt in your mouth good. Review #11869

Simply outstanding. Great staff, rich, savory, wonderful food. Very reasonable prices. Small but interesting and well selected wine list with nothing more than $38. The ravioli is truly a brilliant start, and the salmon, contrary to other reports, is hardly overwhelming but in fact absurdly good. The only disadvantage to the aphrodisiac dessert is that you've probably eaten so much by then that you'll be unable to move from the couch for a good while afterward. I find this makes it rather less effective.

The food here is incredible. Of course it's also a charming space, the staff was super chill, the chef came out to talk to us personally and 6 of us had three courses with wine for $35 each. All that's very nice. But the food...for appetizers, don't leave without the ravioli which are surprisingly sweet. Star entrees included the beef biriani and the lamb kuza (pomegranite/rasberry sauce. yummy) Some of the gentlemen seemed enamored of the salmon but the flavor was a little too overwhelming for me. For desert, make sure you order the water buffalo whipped cream which is not only divine but supposedly an aphrodisiac. Small, but very reasonable wine list. Review #7938

I tried this restaurant with a friend last week. They describe it as Mesopatamia food. It has influences from Greece, Middle East, and India. I really enjoyed my meal. It is a nicer place with entrees ranging from $11-$17 if I recall correctly. Their entrees are very large and delicious. I ordered the dolmas which were not your classic dolmas. There were some wrapped in grape leaves, others in eggplant, onion, zucchini. They like to mix the savory with the sweet so it had a tamarind sauce. The service was excellent. The waiter took his time explaining the menu. They have wine by the glass for $4 and it is pretty good. If you are looking for something different this is an excellent place to go. Review #6897
