Been here a couple of times. Had a good burger, fresh. Breakfast is average. Kinda convenient, no waiting, and relaxing water view. Don't expect great service though. Review #20940

When I feel like having bar food by the water, this is the place. Great laid back atmosphere, with windows looking out over the water. But, it can get overcrowded when there are events going on at the Embarcadero. I love their skinny fries and one time I had a great fried fish sandwich. The rest of the menu is standard pub fare. Fun place to eat and/or drink. Review #20596

Had a nice lunch here this past weekend. The service was efficient, the Guinness was a little off, but the food was good. The fries, in particular, were excellent, with some interesting spice combo on them. Very nice. I found the decor to be out of step with the menu and the general attitude/atmosphere--which is more like a sportsbar. Not that this is some huge problem. Anyways, in agreement with the previous reviews, this place would have a little more going for it if they had outdoor seating. Since I'm not into sports, the only reason I'd be down this way is to sit by the bay. Given that, I don't think I'd go back--which is why I'm giving a neutral. But it's not a bad little place at all. The Hi Dive is a cute little bar/restaurant that has potential along the EMB near Red's Java House. Looks small outside, but it's surprisingly larger inside and the interior is done nicely. The cocktails are good and the food is pretty good...tried the burger with fries, and an app. The EMB is lonely for new options, so the Hi Dive is a welcome addition. Check it out next time you're in the EMB on the way to a Giants game. Review #6197

The HiDive is a relatively new pub (been open about a year now) located right next to Red's Java House on the Embarcadero. I have eaten here a couple times for lunch/dinner and once for breakfast. The breakfast omlette I had was good...solid food. The burgers and sandwiches have been decent---bascially standard decent bar food. Its a great place to stop by if you are headed to the ballpark for a game. It would be AWESOME if they could have some tables and chairs outside (i think they are trying to) really cute place...give it a try. Review #6084
