Reasonably priced for the area, though with an ambiance which isn't suprising considering the price (not nasty or anything, just small & packed in and kind of fast-foodish feeling). Food was all reasonably good, though nothing to write home about. Tempura was over-battered (should be very light, not massively caked on), but it wasn't over fried which was good, and it had good flavor Review #16397

This place was pretty good. the spicy tuna was delicious but the service was kind of slow. Other than that, I would totally recommend this place! Review #15074

It was about 4:00PM and I was on my way to give a speech and walked by Dojima-an, the photos of the sushi in the window got me thinking about some miso soup, so I saw they had a lunch special until 5:00PM and figured I would give them a try. I had a tasty grilled salmon “lunch special“ with miso and salad including tip $9.50, what a deal. I think they cater more to business travelers. Area for improvement, the service was a bit slow, restrooms were clean but cluttered with cleaning supplies and tools, it’s an easy fix to make a good impression. I’ll agree with mapleafgirl, you can do better and you can do worse. Review #11053

An "ok" place for japanese for a reasonable price. Chose the curry tonkatsu, comes with nice piece of crispy tonkatsu covered with a tasty curry sauce & a small salad... so small it borders on a garnish. I have tried one of their makis also and it was "ok" too. This place stays pretty busy, I'm not sure if it's the location or the price... probably not the food as it's just "ok". Review #9371

Another mediocre japanese spot, this one in Union square area. I have popped in a couple times for a lunch, a bento box and a sashimi combo. Sashimi was not bad, resonably priced. Bento box---same thing---can't really go wrong with it. I have always 'ended-up' here...when I have a craving and was in the area---never a planned thing. You can do better---or worse. Review #7242
