“ It's a dive diner, but don't we all love our dive diners? I've had many a drunken breakfast here with all the standards...eggs, omlettes, pancakes, and yummy grits. It's the only soul food restaurant I know owned by an really friendly asian family. Worth checking out if you're in da hood. ”

“ Where else would you find a soul food restaurant run by a korean family? I heard the former owner sold several years ago, and the new owners were smart enough not to change much, except for adding rice to the menu. Almost dakind Loco Moco eh? Good grits and basics here. Still a greasy spoon, but hey, it's not brunch. Like the different mugs.....it's a great mainstay and has a lot of history in this neighborhood. ”

“ When I lived in the hood this was a Sunday tradition. Great standard breakfast items for cheap prices. The wait is usually bearable, but there isn't much capacity - max of 4-6 people per group. The staff is really friendly too. ”

“ Old diner - I love dive diners and this is one of them. See my other dive diner reviews. If you order coffee it is served in a random coffee cup that I am not sure if they picked up at a garage sale, were donated to the diner or what. The family that runs this place is great. I have been told by many that if you like grits - Eddie's is the place. I do not like grits - so I cannot comment. ”
