| “ After a very tough morning I decided to treat myself to a nice lunch. Rather than go to a tried and true, I opted for something new. True to my morning, my first two choices were closed for lunch; I ended up at Xiao Loong. I was reluctant to try this place as in a former life the previous restaurant hung flystrips (which worked) throughout and I didn't notice until I was just about finished. Not a good look for a restaurant.
Compared to some, this place had a nice atmosphere, the place was jumpin' for a weekday lunch, service was quick and polite; lunch prices reasonable. Food was beautifully presented, vegetables were crisp, but...my chicken curry was really bland.
To be fair, I wouldn't be opposed to trying it again to be sure that I wasn't too quick to judge.
