“ Slow club has been on my radar for a while now and I finally jumped at the chance to pop in for lunch while in the area. Clean simple industrial space is warmed by friendly staff and the chit-chat of dinners enjoying the food and the company. As you enter you'll see the lunch menu written on the window behind you and the open kitchen to your right, tables spot the long concrete corridor, ending in a bar area. The layout would be perfect for a private party. After watching the lunch plates leave the open kitchen, while we waited for a table to be cleared, I decided I had to try the fries. I settled on the roasted turkey sandwich served on herb foccacia bread with a goat cheese and olive spread, pickled red onions and greens. Yes, I'll take fries with that. This place uses top quality meats and produce, which you can taste. I will defiantly return. Enjoy!

“
Here is what you do, go to the bar and get a nice cocktail, enjoy some time at the bar before dinner. Then, get seated and get the hamburger or the cheeseburger and a nice glass of red wine. The best hamburger in the City. Great atmosphere, great service and most important good food.

“
it's a bit loud.. a bit pricey.. i love the atmosphere once i'm seated, but it's generally crowded and waiting by the far feels so cramped! and loud! The food's quite good though. One friend especially liked it keeps asking me when we're going back. The service was good - smiling and friendly. ”

“ The roast turkey sandwich was great. The mixed greens were fresh, plentiful and perfectly dressed. The bread pudding was probably the best I've had in the city. The place was packed, but we were seated right away. The turnaround on the order was much better than expected, given the crowd. The iced-tea was fresh, and the service was excellent. ”

“ I finally visited Slow Club! We went there as a group of 5 on a Friday nite - the bar was super-crowded, but we were seated right away when we were ready. I ordered the traditional Ceasar salad - it was simple and good. Three people ordered burgers which thry all loved. I had some of the fries, and I cannot remember a fry that I have eaten in recent history which was better than Slow Club's! It's pretty dark inside, which usually bothers me, but it was OK. Pretty loud, too, but not annoyingly. ”

“ this is our go-to for a nice dinner when we don't want to think of somewhere else to go and don't want to spend too too much. they change their menu often (daily?), so every time we get something new. i'm always impressed with their appetizers, soups, and salads---they are never ordinary. i haven't ever had anything bad. surprisingly, there is hardly ever a wait, and if there is it isn't very long. it gets pretty loud at night. ”

“ Came here with a large group of friends and the staff was great and very friendly. The waitresses were very good about keeping the c***tails flowing. Food was good as I got to sample off of everyone else's plate-- not a very big selection though. The carrot soup was yummy and the roast chicken was one of the best that I ever had. The thing was so tender it melted in my mouth-- great flavor too. Cool interior, dark and moody, gets a bit noisy. Prices are mid ranged. Parking is ample.

“ Finally made it to Slow Club for the first time on Saturday night. We arrived just before the rush and were seated right away. The service was very quick. I loved everything that was served. I started with the special cocktail, Cream Soda (vanilla vodka & ginger ale) and it was yummy. For appetizers we had 2 delicious dishes, heirloom tomato & anchovy salad and antipasto with prosciutto, gorgonzola & figs. For my entree I got the scallops over risotto. It was really delicious. I'm often disappointed by scallops, but these did not disappoint at all. For dessert we shared strawberries with marscapone cheese & marcone almonds... simple and scrumptious. The ambiance is dark and hip, but pretty noisy. Overall I loved this place and would definitely go back. ”

“ Like the design and decor. Has an open space feeling that actually feels kinda cozy. Best burgers and fries I have had, anywhere. Service a little impersonal.
Over all I love this place...except for a recent visit for brunch. Got a Bloody Mary and my favorite bleu cheese burger and fries. The Bloody Mary was THE worst I have EVER had. Think the bartender was WAY OFF! Missed 3/4 of the ingredients. Tasted like it was made at an IHOP. My burger was raw on the inside and black on the outside. NOT GOOD!!
Seems like the whole staff shoulda called in sick with their hangovers and just shut the place down for the day. ”

“ What a great restaurant! I loved the ambiance and the decor. It is small and cozy, yet vry hip. Their menu is pretty small, fits on one page, but you will still have a hard time choosing your meal. Their gravlax is not to be missed. Service is great, and I love that their kitchen is right on the floor. My one complaint is that their is a bit of excessive use of butter/oil. Highly recommend it -- and it is easy to find parking! ”

“ Absolutely one of the best brunches in the city. Everything on the menu is great, and they have great burgers to boot. Hash is not to be missed. They also have a sweet risotto which is amazing. Everything is perfectly prepared, and very hip atmosphere. ”

“ Taking people to this restaurant makes me feel like a "hipster", even though I'm not sure what that is! Very urban setting, (across from muni bus storage location) very reliable menu, and the wait is never unbearable. The last part thanks to the great bartenders. Always a good experience. Bonus points for the great type face used on the outdoor signage. ”

“ This is a great place for a good time! They don't take reservations, but they have a really cool bar with great drinks. So, it's not too hard to wait for a table. The menu has a wide variety (the burger is really good). Also, they have parking!! I wouldn't really consider this in the mission, it's closer to Potrero hill. ”

“ Not cheap, but quite nice. I've had really enjoyable meals here. And although the concrete walls and outside *sound* a bit uniniviting, it's a really cool decor. ”
