The ingredients used here are always fresh and tasty. The veggie enchilada has a wonderful mix of vegetables, and the spices don't overwhelm them. The chicken is rotisserie, and very moist. When you are asked what type of chile's you want, you should go for the green one's. They are Hatch chiles, that the restaurant stews on site. The flavor is wonderful. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Review #19502

The Green Chile Kitchen serves good, New mexican influenced food. For the New mexican purist, it's about as close to New Mexico you're going to get without flying to Albuquerque. I started with the organic green salad with 5 toppings and dressing. The portion was large, fresh, and tasty; have some pine nuts or pinon as we say for an authentic taste. The chipotle lime vinaigrette was too spicy for the salad; perhaps the green chile buttermilk would have been better? My entree was the green chile chicken enchiladas made with blue corn tortillas, served with beans, rice and a small salad. The enchiladas were served cold, I brought this to the staf's attention, they were quick to make it right. I asked for Hot green chile, on a scale of 1 to 10 it was more of a 5 for spicyness. The whole pinto beans tasted great like my mom made them, the rice was flat, great texture though. The red chile had a good hearty taste, not hot though, thicker than I prefer. About $20 for both items. Review #18771

This is right in the middle of north of the panhandle neighborhood. Locals walk to it. That' makes it more desirable. The wait staff is friendly and the owners are onsite. Food: It's upscale mexican served on sqaure plates in a market like setting. For use beans and rice vegies it doesn't really rock but the carnivores munch their entrees happily and without a complaint. I haven't gone back because it doesn't cater to my personal taste but I would(have) reccomend it for a solidly "nice" place to go in the neighborhood Review #15440
