“ I wish I could have had at least a somewhat positive experience like Samarati, but not! Mediocre service with bland food didn't help the long wait at a non busy dinner rush. The only positive experience was being able to sit outside on a nice evening. We started with grilled eggplant, you know that firm hard dark purple orb with nice taste & texture most of the time, here it looked like it was grilled hours if not days before and thrown under the salamander prior to service. Mushy,bitter and lack of any hint of fresh herbs or spices started our downhill roller coaster ride. Waiting and waiting we finally got our order of ravioli which were suppose to be in a meat sauce and were allegedly made with some form of meat ? Ok, I guess the sauce is there to overpower any subtle flavors of the filling, right? The evening was summarized when we were presented our check, funny it didn't look like we were a table of 4 with two bottles of wine... Maybe that kinda tells it all. ”

“ I have a love-hate relationship with Fabrizio's. I love the food. I've eaten here at least 50 times. I worked at neighboring Marin General Hospital for 7 years. The food is usually good and can approach sublime on nights when the kitchen is ON. The hate? The service people are hapless, hopeless, confused, & forgetful. They have good intentions, are cheerful, & are completely inept. This is not a judgment from 1 or 2 experiences. I've known some of the waiters since 1997, they still work here. But my orders get lost, they bring the wrong items, they forget to give my order to the cook for 45 minutes. I brought 8 guests to dinner & we waited 2 hours for the entrees to arrive! This happens too frequently to forgive. Fabrizio & his mother are usually in the house. They don't notice that the waiters are constantly screwing up. So it must be deliBERATE! This is Bambie's favorite Marin italian, so we'll return again & again for the food & the abuse. ”
