“ Awful. Just awful. We had 2 large- one veggie the other sausage and mushroom delivered. What a waste of $48... and that didn't include the tip... I knew we were in for it when I saw the watery pink juice (tomato sauce vapor???) pooling in the cheese... The pizza was soggy and all the topping flopped off and fell with a plop when I tried to pick up a slice. I used the BIG spatula to transfer it to the plates. Where it sat because none of the kiddies would eat it... It is now seeping through the paper garbage bag as I type... Go else where... ”

“ After years of not liking this place, my hubby and I gave this delivery location a second chance. Everything was going fine, the pizza's were on time, and pretty good. Until we got the pizza made by some disgruntled employee, let loose on our half veggie half meat pizza. I don't eat meat, and hubby does. We usually have no problem getting our pizza made with meat on only one half. My side had tomatoe slices on it. His side had pepperoni on it. Guess what I found nestled underneath EACH and EVERY slice of tomatoe?! Yup, pepperoni. Seriously, it was so obviously, intentionally done that it was almost comedic. Anyway, vegetarians BEWARE OF THE CRANKY MEAT HIDING EMPLOYEE!!!

“ Often when my fiance and I are starving and on our way home and don't want to think about cooking or even ordering...we just want food fast, we'll stop by NB pizza for a slice. It reminds me of "getting a slice" in NY. Definitely tasty. Decent, definitely decent.

“ It's pretty hard to screw up a pizza experience but here they made it very easy! I've had their food at other locations so I don't understand why here it tasted worse than store-bought cardboard warm-ups? If it's the same cheese then why this place have goopy tasteless pies that after about 3 bites, I myself even wonder if the calories are worth stuffing into my already devastated body. It was the most expensive take out pizza that I have ever had since we tossed over 80% of it in the garbage and decided to go out for food to a real italian restaurant down the street. It may be because of the vegans that they use some special cheese, who knows, all that I knows is that this place is a non return for me! I hate to be so critical, but this has to be one of the worst pizza experience in the city for me! We saved the evening at Bambinos!

“ I tried a big, thick, gooey cheese slice of North Beach pizza in the Haight and it was amazing--amazingly tasteless. No seriously, it wasn't bad or good--it had NO taste. Really weird you could feel the texture all right but no taste...I thought there was something wrong with me, so I ask my girlfriend to take a bite and she said the same thing.

“ I agree with lylvita, but I guess if you like thick, doughy, pizza with gobs of tasteless cheese, then you'll like it. It used to be the one of the best when it was only in North Beach before it became a chain. Or maybe that was because I was younger and liked gobs of tasteless cheese more then... ;-) Try Pizzetta 211 for a really tasty pizza treat! ”

“ Best pizza for delivery. They are fast, the pizza arrives hot, and the Stanyan Street location does not burn the pizza (which is always a good thing). We like the doughy crust. In fact, some people in my family have been known to put it in their pocket and save it for later. Okay. He's 8, but still....
The bacon garlic chicken with creamy garlic sauce is delicious. Also a heartattack pizza, but yummy all the same. Their pesto pizzas are great too--and the artichokes are always flavorful. They don't back the taste out of the pineapple for the Hawaians, nor do they put *gack* mushrooms on the Hawaian.
I'd skip the Caesar salad, truly disappointing. The greek is a little better. the spaghetti with meat sauce is outstanding. I do think everything is over priced--pizzas should not cost $22 unless they have gold leaf toppings. ”
