July 09, 2010 - Likes it - I just moved out here from the midwest and have to say it was a bit of a culture shock that people just aren't as friendly or helpful towards strangers out here, especially in the customer service industry. I don't usually write reviews, but just had to for Dario's. Not only was our dinner delicious, but everyone that helped us was so friendly! The waitress even gave us some information of places to take my family (who was visiting) besides the regular tourist spots. We've been back four times since, and every time the dinner has been great, and the service is fast and always with a smile....they make you feel like family. I also found out they deliver and they have great deals on deliveries on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays! I would definitely recommend them to a friend! ”

| “ Got a garden of eden pizza to go, had a beer while we waited for the pizza to be made, about 15 mins. The pizza was thin, crispy, and lots of fresh yummy ingredients. We had them put pesto instead of the tomato sauce. Reasonably priced- about $15 for our small specialty pizza. Definitely a good deal for good pizza. I'll have to try eat- in next time. ”

| “ Been going to Dario's since living on boats in Sausalito in the '70's. The owners of the last few years have classed the joint up and done nice things with it, but it's no longer your basic cheap local pizza hangout. Restored antique radios and low key class touches.Quality hang loose kind of place. It is now more your $15-25 per head with one glass wine kind of place if you get an italian entr?ype dish, and still reasonable but in the top end of the 'local pizza hangout" price range if you go pizza with wine. But still worth it. Everything is done well and with a smile.
Ask them when their "all you can eat" spaghetti night is which is a great deal, and you will definitely see the waterfront community come out. The salad before the spaghetti is almost a meal! .Usually service is good, but can be variable, especially if the to-go orders are flying in the background.
But hang loose, watch the locals,have a glass of wine, you'll be OK. It IS Sausaito for hev vin' sakes! ”

| “ They started out with one on Franklin ST in the city and one here in Sausalito, this one still make great pizzas using local fresh ingredients and not shipped in TVP and the like. This small place located in a smaller shopping strip, has good to excellent service even on nights when the orders fly in. Prices are reasonable and the selection is adequate without the gizmo or fad style toppings. It's been around since the 60's so the clientele must like, and so do I ! Parkings is OK, in the mall lot most of the time. ”
