“ Did you ever have a really good meal at a Municipal 9 hole golf course clubhouse? You will here! Located in northern San Rafael, edge of San Pablo bay. Americo-italian cuisine. Nice big room with high ceilings, an open fireplace, full liquor bar manned by the best bartender in Marin County. I've eaten here 25 times. Food consistency is remarkable. Always fresh ingredients, always prepared well. Good hearty core menu with occasional seasonal improvisations. All your favorites: Beef, Fish, chicken, pastas. BIG portions. Grilled items always good. Best hamburger in northern California. Friendly, competent, casual, professional staff. I needed to make reservations just once for a Friday/Holiday night to get a table for six. Usually can walk in and be seated immediately. I'm a 10 handicap golfer, eaten in too many mediocre club houses. Food is better here than in most private clubs that charge a $50,000 initiation fees ”
