Negative Cuisine: Pub Food American (Traditional) San Rafael
If you like a trailer trash atmosphere, this place is for you. The food is bland and boring but most definately my most hated restaurant in my neighborhood. If I wanted to eat bad food with a bunch of barflies, this would be my place. I'm judging this place on one merit. The food. Not worth wasting a dime. Bar atmosphere ? If your not trailer trash, you won't fit in. The burgers have no flavor and I wonder if the cook knows how to cook. Their special plates of the day, thai Curry Whatever. Leave that food to the people who know how to cook it. Prime Rib night, overcooked and bland, one night worth staying home. Pasta dishes, one small thing, season your food , salt is a good start. Overall, there are a lot better places around this area, give them a try first. Not even a fun place for a cocktail. Review #21006

Out-of-the-way commercial office bldg location. Drinkin' establishment for professional working drunks, I'm not kidding. Wondering where your house painter, car mechanic, SBC lineman or carpenter is when he's really late for your job appointment? He's here drinking his 4th morning beer. I've been observing this place for 5 years. My office window faces the place. Always busy. Always at least 10 cars parked in my lot. Average patron age is 55. Lunch and dinner is made here. I know all the cooks. You get BIG helpings of Roast Beef, Roast chicken, huge hamburgers. Menu changes daily. Nothing costs over $15. The crowd is friendly enough until about 7:30. Then the mood gets a little edgy & the loud Harleys start to pour-in. I don't recommend a Friday nite visit, can get a bit rowdy on "lingerie model" nite. They crank the juke box loud, playing ZZ Top & Rolling Stones. Girls come here, too. Lotsa' cigarette smoking happening. This might be the adventure you're seeking. Review #13483
