“ I had the lunch special-$5.95 for a slice, side Caesar salad and soda with free refills. It was okay. Decent thin crust but there there were so many mushrooms on the slice I could hardly taste the pizza-I know, it's crazy to complain about too much of a good thing. Service was pleasant. This place felt and looked like an old time neighborhood kind of pizza place so I can see why it has it's devotees. I'll try again and get a plain slice. ”

“ this place was fabulous! i was here for a friend's party last friday and the staff was so fantastic! without reservations on a friday night (granted it was later, about 945) they were able to seat a party of about 20 with no hassle from them. the waitstaff was efficient and patient, the food was fabulous. they had plenty of vegetarian options for those in the group. i will definitely go back there and would tell others to go. the price was decent, the service fast enough. clean, good noise level. ”

“ Giorgio's Pizzeria,
I eat pizza for lunch at Giorgio's whenever I'm in the area. I took my kids there and now my kids are taking their kids! It's crowded at nights, so I usually do takeout.....they don't deliver.....but f you don't mind waiting for a table....it's a fun place to eat pizza....the waitresses are friendly....the atmosphere is kind of old italian and very lively....families are welcome! ”

“ Average American pizza experience, perfectly executed for what it is. Thicker crust than I care fore unless it's a deep dish from Little Star, hmmmm Little Star pizza. In the age of the San Francisco pizza Renaissance, average pizza parlors need to elevate their game in order to compete with the likes of Pizzetta 211, Zachary's, Pizzeria Delfina and Little Star. I would compare Giorgio's quality to that of Seniore's pizza in the outer Sunset, except Seniore's charges about $10 less per pie than Giorgio's. I found the ingredients of average quality, bland and really nothing special. It's the kind of pizza you eat in college, a notch above the Hut and Domino's. With that said, they seems to have a loyal following and have been around for a while so they must be doing something right, I guess it's just not my kind of place.

“ I noticed more people writing about Giorgio's pizza, so I figured I would give it a try. On my first visit, I called and spoke with Sandra, she was really nice and took my order for an extra large pizza with Pepperoni, Mushroom & Sausage for take out. Well, I feel guilty, I ate three quarters of the whole pizza watching a movie and it was definitly enjoyable, the crust was thin (my favorite), It was well done (my favorite), the sauce quantity was just right, there were plenty of toppings (see photo below). I only have two area's for improvement on this fantastic pizza, the Mushrooms, were all chopped up into little bits, I like the slice's, not bits and the sausage chunks were small, I like larger chunks of sausage like on the other photo below with bell peppers. Overall this pizza place makes my personal top five list, I was impressed with the quality ingredients, preparation and friendly staff, I can't wait to go back. Extra large pizza 3 toppings $24.

“ I was at Giorgio's the other night (the first time in probably a year) and thought, wow, this place is such a gem. When I got back to my computer and looked on sfsurvey I couldn't believe I forgot to write a a review. Giorgio's rocks! Being from NY originally, I'm big pizza critic, and Giorgio's does it all right! From the charming decor (red/white checked tablecloths and votive candles), friendly staff right down to the absolutely yummy pizza. The crust is just chewy enough, but strays from being deep dish. The house salad and anti pasta (a house salad with meat, cheese, olives and pepperocini on the side) are delicious. I've never tried the other pasta dishes but everything looks great. Giorgio's is a perfect place to have a beer and pizza night with friends or to bring the entire family--it's very kid friendly. In fact, I used to baby sit a 2 year old who went through a phase where he would only eat Giorgio's pizza. So his frustrated mom would often send us over for lunch. Anyhow, c ”

“ The pizza is great and really flavorful. If you are not in the pizza mood, the lasagna is to die for. I really love their sauce. Also, you can never go wrong with their salads. They come in hearty portions so you can share with your date. Everytime I've gone it, it's been packed, so you might waight a little while for your food, but it's worth it!

“ I've eaten here 3 times. Not recently. The glorious aromas & flavors here send me back down memory lane to age 8, sitting in some blue collar Italo-American restaurant in Brooklyn with my parents. We're digging into Spaghetti & meatballs and burnt-on-the-edges thin crust pizza. The sauces are thickened with tomato paste, which gives them an acidic bite, that is not altogether unpleasant. I walked by Giorgio's just the other day & poked inside the door for just 30 seconds to take in the smells, and Yep! The sense memories snapped right back. This is good, old style Italo-American cooking. As authentic as it gets. If you like Capp's Corner, you'll like Giorgio's. ”

“ Dinner here was great, Amazing service. We got the half Giorgio's Special and half veggie. pizza Crust was just right not too thin not too thick and not soggy at all. The music was a little bit too loud to the point where I couldn't even hear my friends speak but the food was great. ”

“ Despite Giorgio's amazing reputation, I was less than impressed by their pizza. They do win points for the pizzeria ambience. With a number of other pizza options in walking distance, it will likely be a while before I go back to Giorgio's. ”

“ Wow, I must have been here on an off night judging by the other reviewers. I thought the pizza and salad were less than just so-so and the topper was that my salad had a really long hair in it and it wasn't mine. I can still feel it in my throat. I shudder to think about it... ”

“ The wait is worth it! This is my favorite pizzeria in the whole city, if not the Bay Area. The traditional pizzeria setting with its checkered tablecloth and home-style atmosphere are unmatched. And the food...absolutely awesome! Nothing beats hand-kneaded dough. The calzone, even with just cheese, is to die for. And the pizzas, thick or thin crust, are some of the best I've had. ”

“ After a few people had recommended Giorgio's to me, I tried it for the first time tonight. WOW! I love it when restaurants can actually live up to the hype! We had the hawaiian Pico (or spicy hawaiian or something--basically a hawaiian with chili flakes and jalapenos) and it was delicious! The crust was absolutely perfect--chewy, crusty, not too thick, and perfectly darkened on the bottom. I haven't had a pizza like this in a looooooong time...probably not since I was a kid. We live in the neighborhood and we'll definitely be coming back! ”

“ as you may be able to follow, i am quite the fan of pizza (refer to other reviews). Ok, so here we go......Giorgios is good, but i can't stand the line and the wait. If your willing to wait, then go for it. If not walk down 6 block and go to orgasmica. ”

“ This has is a great old world feel to it, it is so warm and welcoming; they have been here over 20 years. I am such a thin crust fan and they do it oh so well. the antipasto salad is a varied plate that can make both meat and non meat eaters happy and the dressing is yum, yum yummy. Of couse being on Clement st, parking can be quite problematic. ”

“ I don't really get why people are so crazy about Giorgio's. I used to live down the block and kept going in every few weeks, wondering why I wasn't in love with the food. I've come to the conclusion that they have a very good looking waitstaff, and that improves the so-so pizza. ”
