“ This was one of the only beacons of light when driving down 101 in Petaluma years ago, this and Sonoma Joes, which is now a card room. (60's) As Samarti says, this is HELL to some diners, the ones looking for a healthy experience. If not and you're looking for a slab of beef (porterhouse $28) dripping with butter, potatoes overflowing with sour cream and butter, plopped on the table by sluggish waitstaff, then this is your Valhalla! Sherman, back to the wayback machine, you will transported into the Twilight Zone, as not much has changed in 50 years including dust in the barnwood and decorations hanging on the walls. These kind of places were popular in the 60 and 70's and in the North Bay are still packn them in. You can still get a Highball and Old Fashioned here, and a limited selection of wine. All in all this is what it is, nothing special, a place for steaks, some mediocre seafood, but more a slice of history, when going out to dinner was special and not a daily occurrence.
