“ Petaluma Landmark since the early 20th century. Decor & housekeeping are still stuck in 1920. Gets NORCAL award for ugliest bar. Peeling lime green walls covered with dusty old animal trophy heads. Big tables, red checkered cloths. Funky chairs. Crappy porcelain & glassware. A crohn plays the accordion (poorly) for the old italian farts. Restaurant is 3 rooms. You want the front dining room. We ate in the "alcove" next to the bar. Should be renamed "The Hovel", not recommended. The food: BIG portions of fresh vegetables, fish, meats, and pasta. This is 1920's italian-californian style cooking at its best. Drink house jug Burgundy with your meal, it is the best match for the hearty, good tasting food. Prices are not cheap. Full on family style rib eye steak dinner is $35, Filet Mignon is $42. It's so much food you will burst if you eat it all. Smaller portions than Buca de Beppo but the quality is 900% better. Get dinner reservations as it is always crowded. ”
