I actually havn't been into the restaurant yet...but want to. I have tried several of thier items at the Saturday Farmers market though. Everything i've tried has been remarkably flavourful and obviously fresh. I really need to make it to the restaurant. I believe they are at the Ferry building every saturday now. They have both savory and sweet items...give it a try. Review #19452

As one reviewer noted, raw Food changes the way we conceive and think about food. You can't think in traditional categories and do justice to the raw Food concept. What do pizza, soup, pate, noodles, Lasagna, Quiche, ravioli, and cheescake—all foods that have to be prepared/cooked—have to do with raw Food? The two should be mutually exclusive. That's not how the chefs at ALIVE! have conceived their menu. By giving their dishes familiar names such as those listed above, they have devised a menu that customers can relate to. The difference is: none of their dishes with names like pizza, noodles, or quiche are cooked! You'd never know it. The chef does such a good job of disguising the fact that his dishes aren't cooked he neutralizes any resentment or aversion people might have toward raw Food. Try the MAKI sushi ($9.00), PESTO pizza ($10.00) or the FETTUCCINE ALFREDO ($11.00). PS. I was surprised not to see this restaurant listed, especially since it is often full. Review #16063
