We had to wait almost 45 minutes to get our 8:30 reserved table for 6. But I must say it was worth it. kinda. I asked to make sure that they didn't run out of oysters and they had plenty. One of the servers brought us out half a dozen of awesome oysters as a thank you for waiting jesture. We ordered 2 dozen when we sat down. I loved the fish in a parchment. Radicchio salad was huge and yummy. Service was friendly and on top of it. Friend had the steak which was so huge and tender and yummy. Scallops were delicious. Tiramisu comes in a huge round bowl! Clean fresh decor. Will go back again. Review #18988

Restaurants like these make it fun to write reviews! I went to Pescheria for a spontaneous dinner on Thursday night. They were so nice to me, and even as a 'walk in' when there was no availability, they sent me off drinking at Deep sushi down the street and then called me on my mobile when two spots opened up at the bar! There's a wonderful spirit with all of the people working there. They know they have something good! On to the food. The Kumomotos were small, sweet and even sweeter at only $1.75 each. The drink menu has some gems, including cocktails w/ pomegranite syrup... We had octopus that was as good if not better than the gold standard for Octopus - Delfina! Orichette with rapini was flawless. White wines kept coming that paired wonderfully with the dinner. Even samplers of the other patrons drinks were presented in shot glasses when there happened to be 'extra' from the cocktail shaker! The fish of course was the highlight. Steelhead. Perfection and beautifully pr Review #18541

The end of church street has several new restaurants, the french Bistro caty corner from here-great place, the other italian at the end of the street-very good too!, Toast-American breakfast and serviceably good despite the lines and the sushi bar on the same block. and just down the way the neuvo Latino entry-Front Porch. Something good is going on over here. This small lovely space with a couple heated tables out front a nice backyard patio and about 30 indoor seats serves as the name implies great modern italian seafood. We sat early and between three of us ordered the entire menu. The only complaint-across the board was the lack of lemon to separate flavors. The oysters and the baked clams came with Meyer lemons, which just didn't do it. but the food was great, the room a little loud. Full cozy bar, good slim selection of wine by the glass, love to see this program upped a scosh, will eat here again, there are rough spots- service needs better training would be my pick.
