It's a clean place for lunch with fair to good tuna sashimi and not much else going on. Their tempura batter could be better. I had their bento box and it was reasonably priced. Review #20741

Neutral Cuisine: Japanese Sushi Civic Center
Store front and inside decor led me to think the menu would be super fun and cheap, similar to Kitaro. The large selection of rolls were fun, but $1-2 more expensive than I thought was worth it. It would help if the price range included more rolls below $8. Or if the space was made more comfortable to reflect the higher price. The rolls tasted alright, but don't expect fresh fish. The sashimi came out frozen -- but was unexpectedly nice and sweet after sitting on the table for minutes. Compared to other cheapy sushi places, like MamaSan and Kitaro, this place is pricier and has less personality than I like. Review #18091

Positive Cuisine: Japanese Sushi Civic Center
They probably just changed the name, but regardless, the latest incarnation at this location retains its chops as a viable neighborhood shop. They do deliver, the food is good, and if you're dining in, you might get to see a rookie fling a tray of Asahis when tripping over an unfamiliar bump in the flooring. What's not to like? The sushi is good, the beer is cold, the tempura is proper, the bento is right, and the teppanyaki is good. Go, man, go! Review #17204
