Man Brothers and Sisters...can I just get an Amen" to this place. Man one of my favorite places in SF. I have been able to get here on 2 separate occassions...both have been an awesome experience. They are remodeling now, so we have to wait till they re open. This is a tad bit on the pricey side. But you could really have a nice meal for 2 with wine, appetizers, entree and dessert all for about 200.00. I would say that this would lend for a special event in your life... engagement, wedding, divorce!! (lol) If you are able to get to the top floor...the patio overlooks breathtaking views of San Francisco. This is an awesome ..awesome place. One of my favorite..hands down. Review #18567

A little dated but still a required San Francisco destination. The food could use a spark or two but the atmosphere makes the trip worthwhile. Review #17848

Went there to celebrate my birthday and I just love this restaurant, older style yet very elegant, the view is unbelievable as the restaurant is located at the top of the hill. Everything i ordered was delicious. If you'd like a quiet romantic dinner, then you should try this place out. They also have a patio where you can enjoy the view after the dinner. Review #12153

Another fun place to eat at. We had a great view of SF and the bay. It was a little tough finding parking, so we just did valet. The food was pretty good and service was good. Would maybe go back some time. Review #11584

If there’s one place you want to go, to have a quiet intimate dinner, with gorgeous views, a menu designed making dining a special occasion then JC is the place to come to. I can remember coming here in the 60’s for the special occasion or a special person dinner. The menu will take awhile to peruse, so , order an appetizer and a cocktail. If the weather is right, the views are spectacular, especially if you can come here at dusk. This once a year place was remodeled a couple of years ago, but still looks like it is out of the 50’s. The prices have gone up, just like their entry stairs, so be prepared for some extra elevation on the check. The ahi tartare was great, as was the crab ravioli. The rack of lamb was done perfectly, as was the sea bass! The formal wait staff’s service is attentive and quick. This place still puts out a special consistent memorable meal worth every penny. And the best is that they have valet parking! Review #4854

The view cannot be beat and the wine list is substantial. I must say that the place is looking a bit run-down these days. Service is very good, as the waitstaff is incredibly attentive. It's worth a visit at least once! Review #3994

The view is incredible and the food is excellent (appetizers, main courses and the desserts.) The selection is surprisingly good for a restaurant of this calibre. It has excellent selection of wines. If you want to impress your date, this is the place. Request the seat by the window in the main dining room. The view will blow your minds away. It's a little pricey but it's all worth the money for the experience you will get. Review #1759
