Neutral Cuisine: Vietnamese Castro
On the reccomendation of a couple of friends of mine, me and some friends decided to try Zadin. The decor was very nice and the booths were comfortable and inviting. We started out with the fried spring rolls which were very tasty and nicely spiced. From there, the meal went down hill. Two of the three dishes we were served had no sauce, and the curried scallop, the onlydish with any sauce, was flavorless. I must say though, that the service was good. Review #21373

Over priced lackluster vietnamese food. Nice setting with cool service. Try Tu Lan for good vietnamese food and cheap prices. Review #20756

Positive Cuisine: Vietnamese Castro
The Castro needed a good vietnamese restaurant, and it finally got one! Start with the fish rolls or fried calamari, then go for the claypot catfish with quail eggs (don't be scared--they're just like chicken eggs only smaller), and end with the fried bananas. They also have a brown rice option, which I appreciate as I'm trying to incorporate more whole grains into my diet. Aside from the food and decor, what really sets them apart from your average vietnamese restaurant is the incredible wine list. It is almost as long as the menu itself! I loved the sparkling moscato and had it throughout my dinner (not just for dessert). Review #19440
