Kathy's is an elegant chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. This is far from a Chinatown hole in the wall dive, with laquered wood tables and chairs covered with candles and fresh flowers. Fresh ingredients and attentive service make the food worth the slightly higher prices. We like the Lemon Chicken, Walnut Prawns, seafood basket, Mu Shu Pork and Tangerine Beef here. There is one long banquet table that they use for larger parties, and you will feel like you are at a special chinese banquet, without the banquet prices. Review #19271

We just had delivery from here tonight, its less than a mile from the house. I wasn't sure what to think of "California" chinese...but basically its fresher, No MSG and a lot less oil that the usual fare. We had hot & sour soup (nice heat & flavour, but not that sourish taste i love so). The chicken & snow peas---very nice and light with lots of fresh perfectly cooked veggies...still slightly crunchy. The fried rice was EXCELLENT. I never eat fried rice due to the huge amount of oil in it...well this was again perfectly done, lots of fresh veggies & a few large very tasty shrimp. The seasame beef was nice and crunchy with a nice sweetness without that sickly sweet taste & it came on a bed of cooked spinach---yummy for me! This is chinese I could eat once a week and not feel bad about it. We will be ordering from them again...soon :0) Review #19070
