“ Located in Western Sonoma County, Hwy #1. Attached to the small Valley Ford Hotel. The restaurant prepares and only serves locally acquired food. Fresh daily oysters from Drake's bay. Beef from local rancher-butchers. Local produce, of course. The food here is rustic-sublime. Authentic flavors, cooked with pizz-zazz. My pork shoulder was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The portion was he-man size. Served with corn griddle cakes, braised swiss chard, baby carrots & turnips. The price was $19. Bambie had pan fried sea scallops with fantastic briny ocean flavors. Lemon meringue pie was farm house perfect. Not too sweet, meringue just the right amount of leathery texture on top with poofy cloud below. Real grown in the backyard Meyer lemon custard.
Full liquor bar. Decent wine list with mostly Sonoma labels. Fun, young crew.
Specialty nights like Kung FU Tuesdays: A DVD martial arts movie with Pan asian food.
This is the perfect get-outt'a-the-city destination. ”
