I went here on a Friday night, without a reservation and had no problem getting a table. Granted it was a small table, but I got one. The menu is kind of small and since we were not that hungry, we just got the olive oil dip ($3) and order two main courses. I had the roasted chicken and it was amazing! Very tender and it had great flavor. My date had a pasta ragu and it was good, but I thought it was a bit expensive for the portion size. The wine list was pretty good and the service was also good. The place seems to have a lot of regulars, as the staff hugged several guest as they arrived. If you go, you must have the chicken!!! Review #18523

I ate here with three friends two weeks ago. The meal was good but not great. I had read reviewers who raved about the pommes frites and so we shared an order and I must say that they were terrific. My entree was good but not memorable. (I say that because I cannot remember what it was!) Again, because of previous reviews, I ordered the gelato and it was a big let down. I think it was supposed to be vanilla with flecks of coffee beans - - - or chocolate chip pieces????? The flavor certainly gave no clue. The decor is nice and we had a good table in the window with a view of the passing parade of pedestrians. Service was good though a bit strained on the part of the waitress. An ok place to eat if you are in the neighborhood, but not worth a drive across town. Review #14357

Hmmmmm. I guess I'll be the first to disagree with most of the reviewers, but I didn't see much spark in this restaurant. It definitely has that old San Francisco feel which makes it cozy. The food was average at best and I compare this restaurant to Antica. I don't want to deter anyone from going here, but keep your expectations at par. Review #9374

One of my foodie friends said this place was doing themselves a disservice by not being open for lunch. I agree. The stuffed morels were succulent on your pallet and the service at the bar was impeccable. Review #8440

I almost walked out when I saw the same bartender from the Elite Cafe working here (see Elite Cafe review). I pressed on, though. Had a glass of wine at the bar and some awesome stuffed morels. Went back a few weeks later and ate a real meal and was very impressed with both quality and service. Wish they were open for lunch. Review #8161

Walking down the street this tiny hole in the wall looked inviting for some reason. Maybe it was the frocked waiters that displayed a sort of order. This intimate brasserie provides their twist on italian with french overtones. Menu items change due to what looks good at the fish monger that day. We started with a dozen oysters each and graduated to a sea bass with a wine sauce with chopped fresh tomatoes and the New York steak. It arrived as requested with all possible dispatch. I was surprised that the service was as rapid since the place was pretty full and it didn't look like they had enough staff. The Pomme Frites were by themselves worth the stop here. We were talked into their Gelato and were happy we had. The pricing was moderate to high, but well worth the experience. Parking is hit and miss, so what else is new. A nice neighborhood spot, to come back to especially if there is a parking spot anywhere in the block! OR Valet parking for $9 bucks plus tip! Review #4770

Lamb in Ox tail Raggu was incredibly tender. Huge portion...not sure if it came off of a Lamb or a Horse. GF had a seared white fish that was great...the mashed potatoes it was served with where amazing! Waitress suggested a great Pinot Noir. A little Pricey for us on a random weeknight but we'd go back. Patrons seemed to be older...40+, which might say something about the food. Review #2769
