| “ My roommates and I used to have a ritual of stopping here to get ice cream on our way back to Sacramento for the weekends. How long ago? Too many years to mention. Their ice cream has a rich creamy texture that has been consistent. My favs are the Turkish Coffee, Strawberry Sorbet, Coffee Mocha, Lemon Chiffon, Bordeaux Cherry and the swiss Orange Chip!!! Yes they are a chain, but one of the few that makes their ice cream in house. Mitchell's is great too, but there's something about this place and it's history for me since the sixties. ”

| “ This will cheer you up for sure: Fresh Banana ice-cream. It really tastes like frozen, creamy banana. I also love the Orange-Chocolate ice-cream. If you're lucky, your order will be FREE if your receipt shows a red star! I've gotten it twice already. This kind of luck probably related to my parking karma. ”

| “ Holy Christmas!, now that is some really good ice cream. No wonder they are a San Francisco institution. I have lived in SF for almost 10 years and never tried the place. What a mistake. Wherever you live in the city, it is well worth the trip- the most amazing ice cream shop ever! Very tough neighborhood to find parking, shocking I know, but well worth the effort.

| “ I've been eating Swensen's ice cream for over 20 years. There was one in Saratoga where I lived and I never knew the original one was in the city. I go here about once a month and try to give equal time to my other favorite ice cream places.
