Really great milkshakes (super thick and real mitchell's ice cream), burgers (great tasting patties and wheat sesame buns), yummy fries, and generous avocado (for the avocado burger, almost 1/2 an avocado). Stuffed to the brim for a not-so-expensive burger. YUM! Review #19567

This place cures my veggie burger cravings. There are three choices of patty for the veg folk. Garden, Boca, and some type of vegetable patty. All burgers come with an order of fries, and you can sub curly fries for $1.50 extra. Mmmm, curly fries. When I went the other day, the people behind the counter were happy, and singing along to the music. Happy employees are a good sign of a well run business. My garden burger with all the toppings was drippy and flavorful. My guys bacon cheeseburger was grilled perfectly. I love their barbeque sauce, it's great for dipping your fries in. Seriously, your cravings will be met here. Review #17472

Solid burgers, and a great chii dog! I also appreciate that they have beer on tap. Conveniently located at N Judah stop at Carl and Cole, the other locations are equally accessible. There's one near the cable car crossing at Columbus and Mason, then another where the J Church and 22 Fillmore stop on Church near the Safeway. Yummy and convenient! Review #16860

Good burger joint. Not the best out there, but if you have a craving for a burger, Burgermeister is a good choice. It does get crowded though. Review #16856

Sorry to be the first to put a negative review here but the burger here was not so good. I tried the Mango burger and it wasn't the best I've had. It was literally dripping grease down my hand once I held up by burger to take a bit. The meat was way too well done and the fries were tasteless. The other one in Castro is better. Review #12252

I just had a great burger and onion rings here. Sat outside in the sun. My companion had the coleslaw and it is really good too. Good quality beef and all ingredients are fresh. Perfect for lunch on a sunny day. Review #11603

I have had many great burgers here in the past. I don't know why but recently the frys have been served after sitting for some time and the beef in the burger is not as good. Maybe just a short term slump I hope. Review #9025

As a burger-lover, I was disappointed after reading high marks for Burgermeister in local papers. My burger was dry--and I like medium rare to medium burgers. The fries were limp as was the lettuce. I much prefer Burger Joint on Haight for both ambiance and the burgers. Maybe I just miss the old creperie and Hari Krishnas that used to be in this corner of Cole Valley. Review #7485

This is a must-visit for every carnivore. Arguably the best burgers in the city. They are huge and the meat is world class. You can clearly taste the difference. Review #7082

Huge yummy burgers and great fries. If you can't handle the 1/2 lb. patties, the kids portion is still a hardy 1/4 lb. Enjoy some tasty grub while people watching out front as the downtown crowds spill out of the N Judah. Review #4624

The allure of the smell from Burgermeister when you step off the N-Judah is hard to resist. Niman Ranch burger. Enough said. Thick french fries and all the right condiments. The interior is not much to look at, but you're there for the burgers. Play some video games while your're waiting (for eat-in or take-out) on their old school sit down game tables. Or sit outside in the summer and tease people with your grub as they get off the train. P.S. Veggie friendly. Review #3003

Very tasty and affordable burgers. ALL their meat is (beef, chicken and pork) is free-range, hormone & anti-biotic free. Why eat @ a run of the mill burger joint when you could eat @ Burgermeister!? Review #1230
