You and a friend can split a burger and still leave full. The product quality really is top-shelf, but in being so, it seems to miss the essence of what a burger is. It doesn't miss like a veggie burger, decaf coffee or non-alcoholic beer, but a burger needs juice, and extra lean burgers are extra not juicy. Fine service, good fries. Review #19818

Burgermeister now serves brunch! It was surprisingly tasty and reasonably priced, and even cheaper if you use those coupons they always have on the back of Safeway receipts! Typical brunch fare—omelets, scrambles, egg sandwiches served with potatoes and toast. The potatoes were interesting—it seemed like the hash browns were cooked in a casserole dish and sliced and served in strips. It was still good—I'll eat potatoes any which way! Certainly not the best brunch spot in town but a nice complement to their amazingly scrumptious burger menu. Review #18646

Really not the $8 burger experience I was hoping for. The burger itself had too much of a charred/grilled flavor, to the point that I could hardly taste the deliciousness of Niman Ranch beef. To add insult to injury, the bun, while not horrible by any stretch, was merely ordinary. It's not the fancy, super-flavorful roll it ought to be to really compliment the burger. The toppings at least are fresh & tasty. The shake was actually even more disappointing - they use Mitchell's ice cream, which made me quite excited at first, but their chocolate shake is thoroughly doused in Hershey's syrup. Whuah? I'm sorry, but if I wanted a shake that tasted like Hershey, I wouldn't bother using Mitchell's. What a waste. I couldn't even tell it was Mitchell's, there was so much syrup in it. Just use Mitchell's chocolate, and don't try and make it all fancy looking Review #16394

Burger Meister is over priced and not that good. I'd rather walk 5 extra blocks out of my way and go to burger joint for a way better burger. The burger is dry and the fries are always soggy and cold. Review #14889

I used to really like this place. I live in the neighborhood so it was a great option for a hamburger fix. Then the fateful day happened, when I was there with my mom. As we were sitting and talking and I'm sipping my milkshake, all of a sudden I look down and there is a baby ROACH walking around my milkshake glass! Needless to say I lost my appetite and will NEVER return again. Review #14661

The burger i had was not that flavorful, I had to put lots of ketchup to make it more tastier. I would prefer to go somewhere else for burgers. Review #13047

i don't know why i tried burgermeister again. the food at this branch was at least hot, unlike the other one i tried. but nothing really impressed me. and the service was lackluster to say the least. the order wasn't correct and the people working there were completely disinterested in taking orders or serving food. the gentleman taking orders was more interested in his cell phone. i won't go back to a burgermeister again. too many other restaurants to choose from. Huge, tasty burgers. I have tasted 4-5 different types of burgers, but the one that sticks out most for me was the burger drenched in cheese and chilli. I tend to stick on the minimalist side, but that afternoon the burger ABSOLUTELY hit the spot and made me soooo happy. Seating can be a bit tough as they have limited space inside. While there are a couple of tables outside, the weather in Cole Valley is generally fog challenged. So, be patient with the tables. But grab a Fat Tire beer, order up a huge burger, get some of their awesome fries and enjoy the bite to eat. You won't be dissappointed. Review #10083

I stopped by on a monday---and tired the wings and garlic fries. Mondays they have 1/2 price wings ($3.50/10) good deal for sure. They had some nice zing to them but were not quite as crispy as I normally like....they were a good size though. The garlic fries were no Gordon biersch...the freis were decent and crispy though. I had 10 wings, garlic fries and a anchor steam for $10.50....a good deal and the service was very friendly. I havn;t tried a burger...but they did look yummy. Review #5879

Extra yummy burgers of nieman ranch beef and nieman ranch bacon if you like. Pretty good shakes and excellent onion rings. And yes, the burgers do come with fries. The availability of onion rings and bacon put this place a notch above the Burger Joint twins in my book. Review #5452

These burgers are so yummie and they are absolutely HUGE! The cooks do a great job and actually listen to the request for medium rare. And, don't be afraid of the beef, the quality is excellent. Fries are yummie. Not listed, but I saw someone order onion rings that smelled awesome. I can never finish my burger. Ask for an extra pickle slice, real good eatin'. Review #5011
