“ my friend rented this place out for her rehearsal dinner for the wedding. The owner was so generous and gracious. He made extra dishes because he worried there wasn't going to be enough food from what they ordered. So sweet! And the food was really fabulous- a whole roasted lamb stuffed with rice and nuts and spices, 2 salads, a chicken dish, hummus, pita, baklava, teas, wines, good food, generous staff, really well taken care of here. i highly recommend this place! ”

“ So fresh and delicious. I'd be satisfied with the vegetarian appetizers sampler plate. The fish and scallop dishes were too salty for my taste, but its not unusual for meat to be spiced or salted so, in this cuisine. Good wines, nice wait staff. Our midweek visit in April surprised us with a quiet and calming atmosphere. We enjoyed the restaurant and felt welcome. Maybe now that it's summer we'll eat outdoors.
Of special note is the mint tea: Hot water and a large bunch of fresh mint leaves. Add honey or not. The leaves lend their essence wonderfully to the concoction, and afterwords can be eaten to please the palate and purify the stomach. Authentic.

“ Wow two negative reviews in one weekend. Yuck! This negative review is not really for the restaurant but for the ultra-ignorant owner. We had a party for about 60 scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:30PM in the back garden. The group was comprised of the students, parents and siblings of the graduating 8th graders of a nearby neighborhood school. The cost was $25 per head (and the creep insisted on cash). We arrived promptly and were told to wait out front on the (freezing) street. We finally got into the garden by 2:00 (they had poorly timed the final seating of brunch customers) and were served our food at 3:15PM !!! We didn't all fit out back, had to pay separately for the wine and were served one shwarma (wrap) each for our $25 each ($100 for a family of 4). An ingenious way to endear yourself to a large group of potential repeat customers or create bitter enemies that were burned by your greed. What a fool! The negative word of mouth from this will kill this place. ”

“ Say it's Saturday night and a friend calls you up and you both feel like going somewhere nice but not too expensive, but you haven't made reservations anywhere. Fattoush is the perfect choice, because it never seems to be too crowded (which raises the question of how they stay in business, but that's not our problem). Anyway, there are lots of great appetizers, the fattoush salad offers some interesting flavors (and is big enough to split), and the salmon/eggplant entrée is awfully tasty. Keep this place in mind.

“ Excellent experience at Fattoush. We had the M'sakhan (chicken/onion/spice mixture wrapped in lavash and served with a saffron yogurt sauce) and the chicken Sambusak (with spinach wrapped in filo and served over tahini herb sauce). Both were excellent. Nicely presented, flavorful. The babaghanouge was also very good.
We were there at 6:30pm on a Friday night and the place was pretty much empty. I've been told Fattoush is usually busy, so not sure what's going on. They deserve to be busy. It's NOT inexpensive (one appetizer, two entrees, and two glasses of wine=$53+tip), but it's not overpriced. I'm looking forward to going back for brunch. ”

“ Food is good, fair prices, wait not to bad...decent I say go! Why not? It's got patio for the outdoor types. They are cool with kids if you have some bring 'em. Oh and the service is quite good. This review is probably not that entertaining because I can't say anything too bad! ”

“ A small place on Church street handy for the J car as parking is dicey here. The food is very good, not great. However, it is not expensive and this is a good chance to try middle eastern food. Heavy on the lamb courses so if you are a lamb lover as I am, you will be very happy here. ”

“ Went here for brunch one day when the line for Chloe's was too long. It was very good. Lots of choices on the menu, benedicts, scrambles, omelettes. My one meal turned into 2 - large portions. There was only one waiter so the service wasn't great, but if there is an unbearable line at Chloe's I recommend saving yourself some time and trying Fattoush's. ”

“ They are yummy and have wonderful brunches on the weekends. They have a nice patio to boot! Furthermore they are inexpensive. I love love love that spinach-phyllo dish there and for meat eating fare I could rave about the lamb and rice for days. ”

“ delicious really flavorful unique dishes with good portions. Watch yourself with the pita and hummus before the meal if you want to truly enjoy your dinner. Our meal was complete with turkish coffee afterwards. delightful. Note- the AIDS research donation is on certain nights- check the website for details. ”

“ The first time I went there I was quite impressed with the food though a bit put off by the owner/waiter's aloof attitude. However, I went there again recently and was underwhelmed by the food, the service was poor (dirty dishes and empty water glasses sat on our table for 10 minutes+ before anyone did anything about them (and there was only a handful of other occupied tables in the place) and to top it off, the owner/waiter added an automatic 20% gratuity to our bill when our table only had 7 people. The plus side- supposedly Fattoush donates part of their proceeds to HIV/AIDS research and the Palestinian fare is more unique than your typical middle eastern restaurant's. At ~$15 entree, I wouldn't call this place inexpensive as one reviewer describes it. It's a decent value at best. ”
