Holy smokes...I heard that his pub/grub was a great dinner idea during happy hour. I ordered a pizza and was charged $9.45 (at 5:30 mind you). The pizza was laughably small and thin. It seriously weighed about half a pound. To top it all off it looked like it was tossed in the air before serving. All the mini slices were strewn about. I love NY pizza, that's thin and greasy but i do not like pizza that completely lacks substance. If you are considering the Fly's pizza, i urge you to consider a Tostino's party pizza instead. About the same amount of food but only a $1.50. I swear i was on one of those hidden camera shows...Absolutely rediculous Review #17348

The snacks were good, as were the drinks. This is not really a place to come have dinner. I definitely felt like I was crashing some kind of scenester's ball. I felt for a moment that an L7 like me might not be able to get the bartender's attention, but thankfully, I was wrong. Review #15529

Fly is certainly a hang out... you share yummy treats with friends over drinks and pool... great art... great people... great music... Happy hour means $3.00 gourmet pizza. Conversations flourish in this cozy hub. Review #13393

Good for the happy hour specials (pizza! cheap!)...but not a regular watering hole because they only have a beer/wine license. Review #9683

Awkward space... This is a tough one. The food is actually very tasty and the prices are right, especially at happy hour. The problem is- the crowd can be VERY iffy (read: marina) and sometimes it's impossible to actually be able to get a seat. There aren't really any other bars around, so you can't just go up the street if the place is packed with khaki pants and LV bags. I like to go on the early side just for a snack and a glass of wine before going someplace else to actually "go out." And, now that I'm not walking distance anymore, I doubt that I'll ever really go anymore. Not bad if you're stuck in the Western Addition, but not worth a trip. Review #9681

Nice happy hour special that is served from 3:30 to 6:00pm. $3 pints and half price pizzas. Always a busy spot so getting a seat is tricky. Interesting Soju cocktails. Review #8382

This place is pretty sweet. Nice neighborhood bar. Sometimes it attracts a lame crowd but for the most part it's pretty chill. If you're into sake cocktails and white or red sangria this is your place. And if you're hungry, the food is really really good. Does a pita and hummus plate sound boring to you? Not here! It is sooo good!! WoW. The warm spinach salad and the pizzas are some of my favorites. Review #8304

GREAT neighborhood bar. Awesome happy hour specials ($3 drinks and 1/2 off pizza >$5) from 3:30 to 6:30 and their food is actually REALLY tasty (though they did take the best Ceasar Salad I've ever had off the menu). Bring friends and grab a table or come solo and saddle up to the bar for a chat with the bartender when it's not too crowded. Weekdays are best as it can get packed after 8pm and on weekends. Some have described it as a scene, but having lived in the 'hood for a decade, I can say it's just representative of the neighborhood at large. It's unpretensious and not trying to be anything other than a fun bar with yummy food, creative sake and soju drinks (and beer of course) and friends. Good music, too. Review #8224

I think this place should choose to be a bar or a restaurant, and do just one of those things well. I know Fly is supposed to be cute, but I felt like it was put together with cardboard. It felt cheap. and it is ridiculous to put a pool table in a space that is not large enough to accomodate it. Por qua? Review #7852

The food is quite good, but get it to go! It is very noisy and way too crowded any day after 5 pm. It's also very "sceney" very "meet markety" so if you ain't lookin' to hook up , don't bother stickin' around. Review #7366

Better suited for drinks -- too noisy to really enjoy a meal. This is a favorite after game spot for local rec-level sports teams. The infusion drinks are tasty and the bar food is ok. Review #7265

This "pub" is the least pub-like pub ever. It's more of a casual restaurant/bar that happens to show sports on the TVs. It's too, I don't know, feminine, with non-typical pub food like salads and hummus plates instead of fries and creative sandwiches and pizzas instead of burgers. And what kind of pub serves pretty soju drinks like the Pink Ginger? I guess it doesn't really matter what you call it, the food is delicious as is the Pink Ginger. Review #6677

I was down the street with some friends trying to get a table at the Blue Jay Cafe, they were packed, so we trekked a block down and went to Fly bar. I was kind of worried that they wouldn't have "real" food because I was starving. I know they have small pizzas but they also have a great salad menu! I had the Nick's salad which is kind of like a Chef's Salad with a lot more stuff (bacon pieces, lots of tomatoes and cucumbers). The salad was big, fresh and tasty. Use your left over salad dress and eat it with the crust of your pizza. Their crust is yummy and slightly sweet. Oh! Their soju cocktails are good too (and their prices). Review #6232

I used to love this place when I lived in the hood. They have great sangria - white and red and some fun sake cocktails. Everything is reasonably priced and they have semi-healthy bar food. Great salads - friendly service. Great place for a casual first date. Review #5907

If you want good bar food, and want to watch sports while you're eating and drinking, try Fly. I have been there on a Friday night (AVOID! AVOID!), but if it's after-work drinks and dishes that you're after, give it a shot! Review #1660

The Fly Bar is predominantly a pub, but i ate there several times and was happily surprised by how good the food is, especially the salads. Great casual and friendly atmosphere. Review #1411
