The fried tofu was good. The tofu with eggplant was outstanding. The chicken satay was excellent. The lamb curry was delicious. The indonesian iced coffee was tasty as well. The service was family shop fare - a fine pace if you're in no hurry. Recommended. Review #21173

I had a very different experience than others... I had two vegetarian dishes, one was a curry, one was a seitan in brown sauce, both were really very uninteresting. The curry consisted of steamed vegetables in a watery, tasteless curry sauce. The seitan was chewy and gnarly even for seitan. We happened to eat with meat eaters, and neither of them particularly enjoyed their dinners either. I *did* enjoy the #8 appetizer, which was a fantastic flaky bread. Although it was a little bit greasy, it was tasty. The epic moment of the evening came, however, when we ordered dessert. None of us had been wowed by our food, but the dessert offerings seemed interesting. In particular, the banana with condensed milk, chocolate, and cheese sounded like it could be really cool and different. Of course, we were wrong. I was expecting some sort of interesting sweet cheese that I had probably never seen before. To our horror, there was a gigantic pile of shaved cheddar cheese all over the ch Review #18348

Don't expect fast service when you come to this place. However, the food is delicious, I'd recommend (for those who aren't familiar with indonesian food) Gado-gado, Mie Tek-tek, Beef Rendang, Ayam Panggang Kalasan, and many more actually. They've changed the decor recently, it looks much nicer now. Review #12812

I LOVE THIS PLACE. First off, you gotta try the fried bread appetizer with the spicy peanut sauce. Every dish I've ever tried here has been fabulous. I especially recommend the Mie Tek-Tek (it's a spicy noodle soup you can get with chicken or vegetarian). This is another place where you can just sit back, take your time, and drink a bunch of beers. S'not expensive either. I've been here more times than I can count. Grain of salt warning: this is the only place I've ever had indonesian food. Review #8933

If you aren't familiar with indonesian Food you should definitly give it a try. It's known for sweet and spicy flavors. Personally I love it. I like the Bakmi Goreng or the Gado Gado. Review #4064

We had the complete dinner ($21/person), and it was worth it. The lumpia was better than the typical eggroll of most asian places. The soup was okay. The peanut sauce salad was good. The 6 main dishes were tasty. Last of all, we got gelato as dessert (never had it at an asian place). Nice little touches, such as a fresh flower as a decorative garnish for each dish. It was a great value and good food. For some reason, it was pretty empty on a Friday night. Review #2786

Borobudur, though i haven't been there recently, is a great hole in the wall for good indonesian food. Though the decor doesn't add much, the flavors and prices were always good. Review #1413
