“I live about one block from O'Reilly's so I finally tried it. I went with a friend and we thought we would try some fattening food. I had the beef stew that was good, but the beef was a little old and tough. My friend had the Fish & Chips. The Fish was pretty average, but the fries were absolutely hard and soaked with oil. It looked like the fries were old and cold, then put back in the fryer to warm up. It didn't work too well. He regretted not sending it back to the kitchen. I'm sure there are other dishes that are not as bad. I'll give it another try. I've seen their breakfast's and they look quite good! ”
“This is a great pub with a friendly atmosphere and tasty slightly upscale pub food. I have tried brunch and burgers before...all solid. Bloody marys are just ok...nothing notable. Stop by for a pint!

“I had my rehearsal dinner here and it was totally perfect for my midwestern Irish/italian family---the menu had sophistication enough for the world traveler foodies, but mundane enough things for the children and my little sister's stodgy fiancee. I tried everything that was ordered at my table (crab cakes, chicken pot pie, several kinds of oysters, the beet salad) and it was all fantastic. It's got a nice atmosphere too and the waitstaff was friendly and indulgent. I'd like to see what it's like without the stress of entertaining a priest! ”
“My favorite Irish pub in the city. On a weeknight you can stop in, have a Redbreast and a Guinness and chat with the bar staff without being crowded off your barstool. Gets a bit busy during the dinner hours and on weekends. If your not in the mood to drink your dinner they have a some good food too.

“Great bread, good beer. The fare is definitely pub grub, but honestly, this place is a bar...would you expect five-star dining? Nice place to go on a Saturday afternoon to bend your elbow a few times and want to get a late lunch or early dinner. It can get too crowded and hectic for my taste (the staff is pleasant but don't do crowds well).”
“Awesome place, super friendly staff, very laid back, excellent authentic Irish food and the people who work here are real honest Irish folk *gasp!*
One of my favorite places to go on a regular basis when I lived in North Beach. I really miss it.”
“THIS is where to dine before Beach Blanket babylon {be sure to purchase the coveted Cyril Magnin seats which are GUARANTEED, upstairs balcony-so you don't have to wait in line}this is a very fun Irish restaurant with great food, {salmon boxty anyone}, lively atmosphere, friendly service and of course some fine beers on tap. The bar is a happening place at cocktail time, but that doesn't interfere with the dining room”
