So I had some last minute guest come to town and I had no time to get a reservation. It was a pretty nice night out, so we headed over to Belden Lane. The street was pretty crowded, but Cafe Tiramisu had some open tables out front. We asked the hostess if there was a table for four available and she said yes. But then she headed indoors and told us to follow. First she tried to put us in the basement, but I said that would not do. Then they moved us to the corner, right next to the kitchen.
The waiter was nice enough, but service was very slow. I could not believe how hot it was inside the dinning room. My guest and I literally were sweating just sitting there! I think if we had not been so hungry, we would have left, but we decided to wait it out.
The food was good, but not great. The big hit was the lamb chops, unfortunately I had the dry chicken cooked under a brick. Really needed some sauce, as it just tasted completely dried out. To top things off, while ”

| “ I love this place, too! It's located in Belden alley and although you're in the city, it gives you the feeling that you're elsewhere. The tiramisu is to die for and the waiters are hilarious! ”

| “ Oops! This used to be one of my favorite restaurants until last Saturday. The food was fine, but I have just one thing to say: FOOD POISONING. Not just me, both me and my companion. We shared the carpaccio and tick tock, a few hours later we both had all the symptoms. Tiramisu cost us around $95 for dinner for two, one sleepless night, one missed day of work and one trip to the doctor.
And to boot, the service (normally passable) SUCKED. I had to ask three times for water and the waiter ignored us after he brought us our food. The place was so packed (testament to the fact that the food is normally really good) so conversation was impossible due to the noise.

| “ There's a lot on the menu that reminds me of comfort food. It's a good place to try if you're stuck downtown and don't want to eat at the Cheesecake Factory (yuk.) ”

| “ Very nice little italian Restaurant on the charming alley of Belden Lane. The place is usually packed inside and out when the weather is nice. Outdoor seating is very cool, but remember that you will be with the smokers. The Sand Dabs were so tasty and fresh. I loved the Tiramisu and Panacotta. Also, I tried the Crispy Chicken cooked under a brick and it was amazing. Lots of lemon taste and thin crispy skin. Great place for visiting relatives.

| “ One of the best italian restaurants I have been to so far. I had the linguini with spicy lobster, it was excellent. I tasted the san dabs my friend was having and it was delicious. I had the tiramisu for dessert, it wasn't as good as i thought it would be. The profiteroles looks good too.

| “ I couldn't believe how packed this place was on a Monday night. We had to wait nearly 1/2 hour for our 7:30pm reservation and they took quite a while to get us water and take our drink order. That being said, the food was excellent, the ambiance fun, and the outdoor patio seating transports you instantly to Paris or Rome. With a couple more waitstaff, the negatives I mentioned would probably be non-existent. ”

| “ another gem on Belden alley. outdoor dining on nice days and nights. wonderful italian cuisine. tasty food, reasonable prices and the staff is pretty on the ball. festive atmosphere when you are lucky enough for dining outdoors. of course the tiramisu is a very tasty way to end your meal. charming ”

| “ YAY! love their tiramisus! it's also my favorite dessert and it's rare anyone can mess up on tiramisu since there's no baking involved. they use high quality ingredients so it always tastes great ”
