I LOVE this restaurant. I took my gf here for valenetine's day about a year ago and we just went back about a month ago b/c we love it there. It's definately not a cheap place (~ $100-120 for two people to dine), but its has great food, steaks, fish and desserts are tasty. What sets this restaurant apart from the rest is that you get to eat on the 46th floor, basically higher up than any other building near you which provide the best views of ALL sides of the bay. Truly unparalleled views of a city even the oldest natives of city and the bay area would love. Great food, decent service, great decor and views! Review #19238

If you are looking for an epic brunch with a view, CityScape will be hard to match in San Francisco. Go early, make reservations- whatever you need to do. Aside from the amazing views (when the fog is cooperating) the brunch is absolutely endless. Everything you could ever want and then a bunch more. I was not so impressed with the dinner service, but after being blown away by the Sunday brunch there was really no way to fairly compare. Review #16123

We have been coming here for years and nothing much has changed except the price and higher rise buildings popping up! This is one of the better Sunday brunch places with fresh products and pretty good service from the bar! IF you are lucky you the city will reward you with a view at the same time! Come early otherwise be prepared to wait! Dinners here are also pretty decent but evenings usually are disappointing since the fog rolls in more! Parking is in their lot downstairs, so it's a no brainer. BE prepared to cash your paycheck since it is expensive! All in all, this is a great location to bring out of town guests and try the Brunch's bread pudding! It's made from pastries from days before, excellent! It quiet so it's a perfect intimate dinner spot! Review #12776

Celebrated my birthday here tonight and everything was fabulous. Free valet parking, great service, great food, and great views. Started off with the crab cakes and ahi tuna poke. Both were amazingly good. Came out pretty fast too. The lamb chop were cooked perfectly and it was melt in your mouth, worth the $41. Since it was my birthday, the waiter came out with a chocolate cake which was so kind of them and that was delicious too. Review #11727

Lovely views, nice staff. We went for cocktails and dessert. Martinis are ~$11, but good and an appropriate size. The wine by the glass can be expensive for what it is ($12 for Pine Ridge Merlot) but at least they serve it in real wine glasses. desserts were, for the most part, yummy. I got the creme brulee trio. I would have preferred more of the creme brule and would have happily skipped the three cookies (lace, shortbread, and a nasty dense p**p-tasting chocolate thing). Others in the party loved the warm chocolate cake with ice cream and also the trio of profiterole, macaroon, and eclair. Decent and fine, but expensive. Review #9170

went on a slow night but was seated near the stairway, worst section. had to ask if we can be somewhere nicer since there's no one else around? felt rushed by the servers. the food was alright. i'd say this has the best all around view of the city. i would go back for cocktails but dinner is iffy. The views here are about as good as it gets. Having brunch here reminds me of at least 2 of the reasons I live here-good food in a gorgeous city! Great selections on the buffet-lots of seafood choices as well as other hot dishes, plus omelet and crepe stations. Unlike a lot of buffets where the desserts look better than they taste, the desserts here were really as delicious as they looked. Excellent service for a buffet-our champagne glasses were constantly refilled and used dishes removed immediately. The low key jazz band added to the ambiance. Review #6397

California cuisine served in elegant surrounding with impressive panoramic views. One of the city's only rooftop restaurants, Cityscape features dinner and dancing nightly and serves the best Sunday brunch ever. With Fourteen foot high Windows as walls, Cityscape is a showcase for San Francisco's most famous landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Alcatraz, Union Square, the SBC Park, City Hall and more. 46 floors above the City, it's indeed a perfect spot to dazzle out-of-town guests or your special someone. However, my most recent return trip to Cityscape might just be my last, unless the current chef either quits or take a refresher course on how to cook. My appetizer with vanilla syrup soaked Bing cherries, "european" blue cheese and spring greens seemed like a good concept. But the combination tasted odd and not too palatable. The NY steak I had was unflavorful, leaving me to wonder just how long the cow had been dead. Finally, the mixed berries cobbler was dry and worse than any dessert that I had ever attempted to make myself. It does not seem fitting that this restaurant sits atop the grand Hilton Hotel. This restaurant is a beautiful date spot and reminds me of Cornelian Room. The view is spectacular(if it's not foggy) and the food is great. I had the filet mignon with steak fries and it was about as good as it can get. Try the Seared Ahi for appetizer! The only negative I can think of is the fact that you have to go through the hotel lobby to get to the restaurant. It would be great to have a separate entrance for the restaurant on Mason.
