“
Quantity sucks with the price you pay, but the seafood alfredo is quite good. Service is kind of forced, if you know what I mean. I only go here because it's close to Stonestown Galleria so I get to shop while waiting to get seats. ”

“ not sure which is more wierd...me actually eating here...or me reviewing it? For some reason 2 weeks ago whie still moving in to our new home we were on a "chain" food kick. We had chilis the afternoon before and then Olive Garden. So i used to eat at the "OG" :0) lol in Colorado Springs about once a month-for lunch. All you can eat soup, salad and breadsticks for like $5...pretty decent. So scroll ahead 6 years...ok im a bit of a food snob now. I admit it. Our waiter was great. When the bread sticks came he actually said they were the best part of the meal...he was actually almost right. I liked the salad better...but the food was AWFUL. My b/f had the "taste of italy" OMG---who would EVER want to go there if that was true! I've already erased the memory...i have no idea what i had. We shared the sampler app...medium awful. YUCK YUCK YUCK. ”

“ Even though there is not a wealth of great italian restaurants in San Francisco, I don't understand why anyone would eat here. As far as "italian" food goes, this is not passable. Even for Olive Garden chain standards, this particular location is poor -- the service is incredibly slow even when they are not crowded, and every time I've eaten here, my food has been served cold. The menu is overpriced for what you receive and most dishes are flavorless. ”

“ If this is italian, I'm perenneal Match Game favorite Charles Nelson Riley. Remember that episode of the Bachelor, where that lush from Texas asked Andy Firestone if he had ever eaten at Olive Garden, and when he said no, her response was, "you don't like italian?" Those four words ended their relationship - you could see it in his eyes. This is italian for places where there are no italians, which would be like, Fairbanks, Alaska, or something. I'm not just hating without actually having tried it - My grandmother wanted to go, and what grandma wants, grandma gets. The chicken cacciatore was obviously pre-breaded tv-dinner style and frozen for later boil in a bag service. It that was not the case, it might as well have been. Even the salad, which seemed to be fresh, just tasted wrong. The waitstaff was hoodrat gangsta fabulous, and the whole experience sucked on a level that I really can't quite put into words. Thank God this is not all we have to choose from around here. I would die ”

“ The Olive Garden does not have authentic italian food. So if that's what you are looking for, don't go there! What they do have is sinfully delicious, totally Americanized comfort food. If you don't like the rolling chairs, call ahead and get it to go. They do have large portions, as well as large prices, so just fill up on soup, salad and bread sticks- they are free, and then you just get more leftovers! Oh and you must try their bread sticks dipped in Alfredo sauce. Yum. ”

“ Olive Garden is where you go when you're ready to die.
The interior is as roomy as a rest home cafeteria, and the chairs come equipped with wheels. Is it fair to review a retaurant where you've only eaten once? No, unless it's Olive Garden. With big chains, you can expect a certain amount of consistency. The Olive Garden is just as good as Applebee's, Chevy's, Sizzler, or Chili's. It's honestly not worth a review, and it's not in any danger of losing customers. You'll always know someone who wants to go to the O.G., and you'll always know that it's OK to turn them down. ”

“ Awful, yuck! I'd rather save my money and get something to tide me over at the food court in the mall. The service was awful, the food was dreck and we even had to wait to get a table. I have no idea why anyone would go here a second time. ”

“ This is definitely only "on the road food". If you are in a strange smallish town, an olive garden can be a friendly beacon where you know you are going to get something that is edible. In SF, there really is no reason to go here. Too many other good choices. Besides the Salad and Breadsticks being a good deal for those on a budget, everything else is way out of whack on the price/quality ratio. ”

“ Went to Olive Garden tonight because a friend was treating and he wanted to go there. Didn't have high expectations as I remember my experiences there not being too memorable. Was pleasantly surprise tonight, mainly because the service was really, really good. They were friendly but not overbearing, if you know what I mean. For those who haven't been, its your basic italian chain restaurant- recipes are developed to suit the 60% of the population who aren't too picky or discriminating. I know its not the greatest food, but my pasta and soup came hot, the breadsticks warm, and everyone at our table got a quarter glass tasting of a red wine. I had a good time. If you want authentic, try North Beach. Olive Garden is just a friendly little chain that isn't trying to be too exciting, but just supplies a little hot food to warm your belly.

“ Remember back in the days when people were clueless about chinese food and ordered "chop suey" from the menu? Well, Olive Garden reminds me of those Americanized chinese restaurants back in the 70's and early 80's, except this place serves water-down Americanized italian food. The only saving grace about this place is that you could fill up on the salad if you are on a budget. Olive Garden belongs in some small town, out in the middle of nowhere, that doesn't know any better or has any ideas about what italian food is, aside from spaghetti and meatballs or lasagne. To add insult to injury, they even have a pamphlet to advertise that they send their chefs to Italy to learn about italian cooking! What a joke! Well, at least that serves a bit of entertainment. ”

“ Olive Garden is your typical italian-chain restaurant. There's nothing left to be desired from this place. I've only eaten at Olive Garden twice in my life (one of them being here at this location), and I just don't remember their food. It's edible, but very forgettable. ”

“ OMG NO! I cannot stand this place. The food sucks, the prices are high and portions are ridiculously large (after the soup AND salad AND breadsticks!)
You know when I was in college we'd consider this a nice dinner out (we'd get just the salad and breadsticks for like $5) but we were in Arizona! If you are in San Francisco there is NO reason to be going here!! ”

“ Definitely make reservations for this restaurant. I didnt when I went and was told it would be an hour and a half wait for 2 ppl! Fortunately for us there was an area that was open seating on a first come first served basis. We waited there for 10 minutes and got a table. Their unlimited soup and salads are yummie and their free bread sticks always taste good. The rest of the food is good but tastes like any other italian dishes. ”
